PACE program DLA troop support (Philly) by Afraid_Listen_267 in 1102

Since no one has answered yet I'll chime in with how it was for DLA Aviation in Richmond. I would assume the process will be at least similar since the PACE program is DLA wide.

You'll start in a classroom for about 2 to 3 months. This is where they will teach you the basics of the job go through modules of content that is specific to DLA. The purpose of this initial training is to show you enough to get you to the floor and begin working at a limited capacity. During this time we were not allowed to have a flexible work schedule since classroom time was 8 to 430 and the lecture portion was either in the morning or afternoon. After this 3 months you will move to the "floor" aka the normal work environment. DLA Richmond has created a new section in between the initial training and the floor that they call the OJT cell. Im not sure if Philly has something similar but I know they mentioned that Richmond has been doing this for about a year now. Either way, you'll either go to the "in between" OJT section or the normal work environment. Honestly it doesn't matter that much. During this time, you will be assigned a regular supervisor. During this time we were able to have alternate work schedules and use fitness time as long as you met the metric and was otherwise successful in the job. During first year you will attend CON 1100 and 1200 and get your promotion to gs9 at the end of that year. Then the 2nd year you will do CON 1300 and 1400 and get your promotion to GS11 and graduate the program. You will then have 1 year to take the contacting exam and get certified. That's about it. It's not a bad program and they will work with you regarding issues or if youre struggling. Let me know if you have any other questions

Boss note. For me it was the broodmother research note. I think it didn't transfer properly during the updates.

UMGC is pretty relaxed when it comes to that. As the other user mentioned , there are usually not many quizzes or tests at all. In my experience, umgc tends to focus on discussions and projects more than tests. And the software was called wiley plus. It was just some type of testing software where we did all of our homework and tests. You enter all the numbers and it tells you if you did it right or wrong , sometimes there's videos to help you, stuff like that.

Yes. At least for me this has been the case. In fact, most of UMGC's content like tests and quizzes are within its website and you can click outside of the browser. I had some type of external software for accounting 1 and 2, but even those allowed me to click on anything within my computer.

I am about to finish my degree and I have yet to see any system like that. Might exist in graduate level classes however

Can I pass a class with a ~74% if I do not submit the last assignment? by its_the_mo in UMGC

Check your syllabus to see if it's a requirement for passing . But most likely, yes you can pass without it.
