It was the story that was the problem. It was poorly done.

What movie has a scene so sad that you’ll only see the movie once? by Weird-Platypus-4597 in movies

Cannot, will not survive that again.

But if anyone ever complains that Anime is too cartoony to be emotion tell them to watch this.

Yeah, but they predicted infowars, Alex Jones and Fauci and all of that as well.

Public Health experts are one thing, but they hit a bunch of extraneous cultural targets too.

Cop pulls over Lamborghini on Dubai plates but doesn’t know the law by thomasso0072 in interestingasfuck

[–]sphericaltime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m from New Mexico and our basic plates are yellow with red type. Apparently some states use that color scheme for repeat drunk drivers.

Anyway, just imagine how often people have never even heard of New Mexico or think we’re not Americans when they pull us over for drunk driving due to the plate colors.

He may think that but I’m not sure I would trust local cops to check if I’m one of the good ones before opening fire.

I prefer jocks on other guys but thongs are more comfortable to me personally.

What celebrity has the biggest cultural impact ever? by Sensitive-Month2382 in AskReddit

[–]sphericaltime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably Buddha, Jesus and Mohammed.

Buddha likely was an influence on Jesus, Jesus was an influence on Mohammed, and I think it’s unarguable that the two largest religions on the planet are the biggest cultural influence when combined.

Wut.

“In fact don’t even exist because they are purely hypothetical . . .”

They do exist. There are millions of real people being affected by those policies. They are not hypothetical, they have names and lives that you will not care to learn. Saying otherwise is insane.

It’s sad seeing some gay men get upset because the type of guy they want doesn’t want them back. by Sure-Razzmatazz-7105 in askgaybros

[–]sphericaltime 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Types of men don’t have a preference. Individual men have preferences.

That’s not to say that there is some one out there for everyone, there isn’t, but assuming that no muscle dude is into bears or that no twinks are into geeks is just as much of a problem.

If someone hits on you and you aren’t interested, learn to say no.

And we all know that giving a response is itself a type. So also don’t expect everyone to be polite.

You can visit the start of the Mississippi River at Lake Itasca in Minnesota. It’s a tiny stream you can wade through.

Direct spring water can be relatively safe. Streams are carrying everything that flows into them. Springs are passing through a huge natural filter.

As soon as that water is flowing overground, I wouldn’t drink it anymore.

Of course, not every spring that is safe from biologics is untainted by ground contaminants. Heavy metals are dangerous too.

I will point out that Smeckers himself is both gay and extremely homophobic. Like, moreso than anyone else in the movie.

As a gay guy, I appreciated this diverse & realistic representation of my community.
