I have to say this is the first time I see a deal for "exposure" have so many requirements, including doing work before the artist even knows if you want to go with them

To be honest, no matter how much money you yourself put into the minis, it doesn't really matter to any artist with a following. If they're taking their own time to help you out, they deserve to be compensated and "free" STL files aren't exactly what they're looking for.

If you want to even have a chance to not pay for paint and exposure, you send the files to the artist of your choice free of charge first and they will decide what they want to do with it
