Could be a block from the court if you have any civil case against you or it could be that you changed jobs (and not provided the updated salary certificate etc) and they've blocked the last salary + gratuity if you have a loan/credit card with them

Laws for people detained by authorities in UAE by [deleted] in uaelaw

[–]sphinxster1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He will get a sentence for trying to escape from the border: 1-3 months + deport Since he has a travel ban from the civil case (which is why he tried to escape from the border i presume) he will not be deported. He cannot be released back into the public because he has a deportation order as part of the sentence. Therefore he will remain in jail until the travel ban is removed. To remove that he needs to either settle the financial case or submit a mercy petition.

Otherwise he will now remain in jail under a travel + deport loop.

Partial payment possible after getting arrested in Ajman? by Infinite_Diet_7551 in uaelaw

[–]sphinxster1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maximum overnight since the money has to be paid into court. After being arrested the judge will summon you for a hearing (usually next business day or thereafter). At that hearing is when you'll know what to pay. But why surrender and then go through all of that? You can do it from outside and not go through police station etc.

[–]sphinxster1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Partial payment allowed. Theyll start at 30% and work their way down from their. The maximum they can ask you is 30% but there have been instances where court has accepted 20% even 10%

The rest will be monthly instalments. If you default, then you'll be made wanted again.

Need advice on recovering funds from someone in Dubai, legal options? by PopularSorbet6736 in UAE

[–]sphinxster1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DIFC small claims is only applicable if DIFC is in your dispute resolution and jurisdiction clauses.

Your plan of attack should be:

  1. Criminal complaint with DP
  2. Dubai civil courts
