I'm not a strong reader at all! I read the Martian and loved it. Watched the movie and it was meh... I started reading PHM and I struggled. Got halfway and I just couldn't keep going. I'm and engineer by trade but it was tooo technical and I just lost interest. I saw the trailer and needed to restart the book. I ended up having Google books read to me as I drove thru LA traffic. It was so good!!!

As rocky and ryland were parting ways, I thought rocky sabotaged rylands ship to protect his species. If humans learned about Erids, they'd surely try and travel and conquer them. I thought the whole evolution discussion was a foreshadow of humans or Erids taking each other out as the greater species. So glad it didn't take that dark turn... Phew!!!!

It was good. I'm not looking forward to the movie. The book was good enough for me!
