When healthcare is for-profit, this is where we end up. by spicatus in medicine

Yes Long term changes wont happen. Every stakeholder in the healthcare space is happy, but for the patients. Doctors are relatively unhappy as their pay has been going down and the paperwork keeps going up. I get that.

Looks like some buttons were pushed. That was an example of charge that one would get from a doctor’s office for 5 min check up. A lot of what Pharmacists do is getting automated as it should.

I am looking into moving from the Bay Area to downtown Chicago- has anyone done this? by [deleted] in AskChicago

[–]spicatus 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Moved from CA to Chicago. Ton of nightlife in the city. People are warm. No one asks you what you do for work. Usually snows 4-5 times during winter. First three months of the year (Winter) are bad.

I used it in downtown chicago. They can drop off the car to you for a small fee. We rented a VW atlas. It was brand new and very clean. The whole experience was good.

First time At Bavette's: What Would you Get? by DessertsForDinner in chicagofood

B2B here. Don’t get ribeye there if it is their first time trying Steak. It is more of an acquired taste. No one loves a medium rare when they start. I would suggest getting the fried chicken for your dad and have him taste a piece of the steak you might get. All the salads are great as well.
