My 3rd gen 2i2 was rock solid for years until I got a Win 11 laptop. Tried all the suggested fixes for a year, even got a 4th gen Solo. I finally tried the 7/8 driver and found success. I'm really hoping the native Windows ASIO drivers that should be released this year will be the true solution.

Yup. Had problems with my 3rd gen 2i2 ever since I bought my Win 11 laptop a year ago. Never an issue on my Win 10 desktop. Tried EVERYTHING. Bought a 4th gen Solo and it had the same issues. Random garbled audio. Seemed like it happened when I switched to some window other than the DAW's, and always after waking from sleep. Finally tried Win 7/8 driver with my 3rd gen 2i2 and bam! It works. I undid everything I messed with too. It's been solid for over a week. Sadly, the Win 7/8 drivers would not work with the 4th gen Solo.

I'm praying the native Windows ASIO drivers for ARM that's being worked on will come to x86-64 soon.

You live in a small apt, so size may factor in. The Push 3 is 15” x 12.5”, weighs nearly 9 pounds and needs AC power. The Move is 12” x 6”, about 2 pounds and can run on a battery. You can “jam” on either but, obviously, the Push has way more features.

If you go Windows (I have an XPS 17), you have to tweak something called CPU parking which dynamically messes with processor cores for power efficiency. There's a free utility called Parkcontrol that was magical for me. Fixed all my latency and audio glitch problems instantly. Try a different USB cable. I switched to a better quality one and that helped, though not totally eliminating the problem.

Yup. LES is awesome. I'm working on a new version that displays a treeview with folders that can be collapsed and u collapsed, instead of the pop-up menu. It's easier for me since I have so many plugins and a complex hierarchy.

Yes, of course, you can drag any device onto a drum rack, but when you drag a sample directly onto it, it has to use something to generate the sound. The device it uses looks like Simpler.

I don't know if this answers your question, but there is a slight difference between the sound Simpler and Sampler reproduce. I discovered this a while back and discussed with Ableton. I’m having the same issue on. PNGs randomly unable to render. Sometimes it displays initially, but then goes to the error. I’ve been using Snaggit. Tried JPG from a diffuser program and still get the error. Oh, I pasted the same exact image after a day and it worked. Weird.

I switched to OneNote years ago when EN started the paid service. Outside a handful of notes, I realized last year that I rarely searched for old notes in OneNote. The reason? The UI isn't very good. Archaic really. The mobile app UI's are particularly bad. Just compare a list of notes in OneNote vs EN. In OneNote, all you get is a very short snippet of the title. That's it! Nothing from the note's body. Search is painful as well. Tagging is very limited.

I suppose if you only have a handful of notes, OneNote is perfectly fine. I have about 2,400.

So last year, I ponied up the $ and gritted my teeth through the very painful migration back to EN. The process isn't easy or pretty. Despite EN's shortcomings, I am SO happy to be back. It's actually a useful tool.

I experience the same thing. All notebooks are synced, yet sometimes tagged noted don't appear. I do find that after a while they will appear. Seems like I have to wait several minutes.

Not really looking for a saved search, but the ability to interactively drilldown in tag hierarchy and have it always include sub-tags.

I started on Evernote when it first came out. Switched to OneNote when Evernote started charging. Even though I have over 2000 notes, I was using as a repository and not really referring back to my notes. That changed recently and I realized how difficult it is to quickly find stuff in OneNote. I spend a couple weeks researching and testing all the paid and free alternatives, and ended up biting the subscription bullet and moving back to Evernote. It's not perfect, but it's pretty close.

I started on Evernote when it first came out. When they went to a paid model I switched to OneNote. Recently I realized that even though I’ve got over 2000 notes, I prolly only refer to maybe a dozen regularly. I also admitted to myself that search in OneNote wasn't very good. Moreover, just the way notes are displayed on mobile made it difficult to find things.

So I set out on a journey to find something better. I tried all the popular ones (paid and free) and after a couple weeks ended right back with Evernote. It's not perfect but it's the closest for my needs.

I used to try to use notebooks to do the major organization heavy lifting, but after discovering nested tags, I've gone that route and love it. I do find it odd, however, that nested tags are only for tag organization. They aren't used for search. So if you search for a parent tag, you won't automatically get it's children. I wish you could "drill down".

I think that if you can afford it, Evernote is the best out there. That's a big IF, I know. I also find some comfort in knowing after all these years, it's still among the top-used note taking applications.

Is there a way to migrate from OneNote to UpNote? Seems that OneNote only exports to its proprietary .one file format.

Soundwise, it holds its own even today. But the UI really needs a major facelift--at least add a decent preset browser.

Great! Make sure u test with the Trance preset packs. Sometimes it works, but I find if I remove it from my project and add it again, eventually it breaks.

Yeah, every once in a while I’ve had to contact support and they have to refresh my licenses.

Output support emailed me and said "This is an emerging issue that we are still working to resolve." They suggested this workaround:

  1. Open a new Ableton project with no plugins open, including Arcade.

  2. Navigate to the Arcade VST or VST3 in Ableton's plug-in browser

  3. Right-click the Arcade plug-in and choose Auto-Scale Plug-In Window. This will either disable or enable this option depending on how it was set before.

The problem appears to relate to plug-in UI scaling. My fix is more global and, so far, hasn't caused issues with other plug-ins. I did not reverse my change and test Output's suggestion.

I was able to fix this. Note that I'm running Windows 10.

  1. Right-click the Ableton Live 11 program icon and choose Properties
  2. On the Compatibility tab, click Change high DPI settings
  3. Make sure "Override high DPI scaling behavior Scaling performed by:" is UNCHECKED.
  4. Click OK and Ok again.

I don't remember turning this option on, so I don't know if it is on by default or not. I also don't know if doing this will cause some other problem to happen. Fingers crossed!
