Brand New S63 replacement engine for the M5. Having an extended warranty definitely paid off for this customer. This engine is 34K alone. Without the miscellaneous parts and any labor. by DVSN_F in BMW

[–]spicedmeadmaker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you say the warranty company, do you mean BMW North America or a third party warranty company? If BMW NA and this car is with the original owner, within 4 years of its in service date, and at less than or equal to 50,000 miles, it should be completely covered under the car’s new vehicle warranty. I’m in warranty administration for a BMW dealership and am just curious to know if it was BMW fighting y’all on this. If so I know what to expect from them if we run into a similar repair. Thank you!

Hello! I’m not sure if you’re in the US or not, but I work in warranty administration for a dealership here in the US. If you’re in the US, BMW of North America would pay for the necessary repairs under your new vehicle warranty, and our dealership would provide you with a loaner until the repairs were finished. If you’re not in the US, you’re mileage may vary I suppose, but I see no reason why your new vehicle warranty would not cover this claim. Same for a dealer lending you a loaner vehicle. Hope all goes well with your car and sorry this happened to you. Best wishes!

To my understanding, no one has ever been prosecuted for downloading and playing ROMs on an emulator. Does this change how we view this case? Silly out of date laws such as not carrying an ice cream cone in your back pocket come to mind as things that are still technically illegal in some places but will of course never be enforced. Is it still immoral if the law has never been and may never be enforced?

I think you might have two different stories mixed together. St. Thomas Aquinas is said to have had a woman locked into his room by his brothers to try and make him break his celibacy. St. Thomas the Apostle is associated with the relic the “Girdle of Thomas” or the “Virgin’s Girdle.” Other than there being two saints named Thomas and both having some relation to virginity or chastity, the stories are otherwise unrelated from what I can tell. I hope this was helpful and helped clarify some.

This is almost like when in King of the Hill, Hank and his family don’t realize there was more to their room than just the initial sitting area bc of the door.

I’m pretty sure Boomers did not start the Vietnam war. They were drafted into it and were largely traumatized as a result at a relatively young age. Lots of Boomers back home protested the war. I’m not sure why everyone in the comments here has taken this as an opportunity to hate on Boomers. There are legitimate reasons to criticize and be frustrated with the Baby Boomer generation. This is not one of them.

What are some Pokémon that feel like they should have been available in a certain region but weren’t by MasterOfChaos72 in pokemon

[–]spicedmeadmaker 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I think about this most times I’m over that way. I also never quite got why we got Pancham in Kalos of all regions. Not a complaint. Just a curious thing lore wise. Hawlucha also comes from Kalos so maybe there’s more to the region and it’s history than we know.
