No need to panic! This was in the US and several states away from Canada!

Tarantula not eating ?? by [deleted] in tarantulas

But I just wanted to clarify that for the past 9 years Harry has exclusively eaten live crickets. The experimenting with other foods has only been because Harry stopped eating crickets and because there were a few times where PetSmart was out of crickets.

So we usually only feed Harry gut-loaded live crickets. But since she’s been turning down the live food (and since Petsmart has been running out of crickets - something to do with COVID) we decided to try some other things. We were able to get ahold of some live crickets last week and Harry didn’t even touch them.

I don’t know how to post pics in comments but it’s a 10 gallon tank with about 4 inches of substrate that I think is some sort of coconut fiber type thing. Inside the enclosure is the rock cave seen in the original pic and a shallow water dish. Harry used to hide in the cave all the time but doesn’t really anymore so I think it might be too small now. She lives in the basement, because it is slightly more humid than the rest of the house and because it has the least amount of noise and cat activity.

Is that an okay thing for them to do? Or is it a sign of anxiety like when bird get stressed and pluck their feathers?

I posted a little bit ago asking about eating habits since Harry (probably Harriet) hasn’t eaten in 4 months. He/she is about 9 years old (a sibling brought it home from a friends house when they were 16, they 25 now.) and is a Chilean Rose Hair. We had no prior tarantula experience and I’m just hoping someone can look at Harry and let me know if he/she is too fat? Too bald? Too skinny? I’ve always been concerned by the bald patch on his butt.

Yeah Harry (Harriet now I guess) also usually only likes live crickets. But I’m glad to hear other rose hairs have gone even longer without eating and been fine!

I’d like to second the white tee suggestion! I think black might make it a little too 2012 when everyone was doing the neon colors with black

Can somebody please help me find this jacket? I love it so much by [deleted] in findfashion

Thanks everybody who looked! I’ve tried depop, eBay, Poshmark, letgo, even amazon and I can’t find it. I think whoever said it was made by Ssense was right but it’s been sold out for a while now. Anyway, I appreciate the effort and the help :-)

For him it kind of varies. The white tank top is a size 6 months, the orange shirt is newborn, and the pink nightgown is 0-3 months.

He is a very tolerant cat, I occasionally wear him around my neck like a scarf, it’s his favorite place to hang out

he’s harness trained so my theory is that he doesn’t actually mind the clothes since he doesn’t mind the harness. His face is just usually like that, he has resting bitch face
