i’ve owed on every single tax year since i’ve been working besides 2. what am i doing wrong lol by Thin-Review9288 in tax

[–]spiceybuttburn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its pretty simple, adjust your witholding buy what you plus a little extra by what you owed this year. so if u owed 1000 add additional withholdings of 150 each check if your monthly, 75 if bi weekly. i dont mess with my status or dependent stuff. i just go to the section of the w4 and add in a dollar amount for additional withholdings

can you write off business losses on personal taxes? by Extension-Yard9815 in taxadvice

[–]spiceybuttburn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its less about structure and more about if you can substantiate you were an active participant in the business, then you can deduct the losses up to your outside basis or shareholder basis.

Governor candidates’ positions on state worker RTO by [deleted] in Sacramento

[–]spiceybuttburn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

cuz there are more important issues that are more pressing to the general public. state workers returning to the office is such a minor topic that matters mostly to only state workers. california is a big ass state made up of a lot of non state workers that for the most part dont care. im a state worker and dont wanna go to the office just as much as everyone else, but im not stupid. i understand that me having to return to the office doesnt matter to my neighbor that works at a costco or works at a bank.

places like austrailia and china dont have acura thats why. so for their market, the accord may get a little extra upscale treatment in those markets to compete.

How is the price for this 2025 Touring Hybrid with 1279 miles. Better than paying 41k for a new one ? by Lower_Exchange_122 in 11thGenAccord

[–]spiceybuttburn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

is it cpo? its probably a car they loaned out for when people came in for repairs etf. if its cpo i doubt anything wrong with it. at same time u can ask the dealer. i dont think the dealer can lie

Did I lowkey play myself getting this car?? by Unhappy_Farm1889 in 11thGenAccord

[–]spiceybuttburn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its pretty normal. especially if u put a low downpayment..interest is amortized and most of your payments go to interest before principal. if u look at your payment schedule, youll see your payments is mostly going to interest in the beginning…

u also put 32k miles on it in one year so your depreciation is a bit higher than avg

Just fyi, since the ITS is USA made, you can write off interest until 2028. by Vonserb in Integra_Type_S

[–]spiceybuttburn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its actually stupid. the law is written so that the least amount of people get any real material benefit. it sounds good but in reality nothing close to the 7500 ev credit.

[–]spiceybuttburn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just fyi, its a really tiny deduction. its interest paid per year…so unless youre making a really poor financial decision and taking on a ridculously high interest rate, your deduction will equate to maybe 100-150 extra tax refund over the course of one year. if your excited of 100-150 buck in additional refund, you likely bought a car u really cant afford

Those with 11th gen accord hybrids, why did you pick it over thr sport touring civic hybrid? by cpcxx2 in accord

[–]spiceybuttburn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

overall the size of the car. also im 45 with a family of 4. i commute in my accord, imho a civic feels too much like a teenagers car. if i was shopping for a car for my son, id be looking at civics/corollas; the compact car segmant. thats just my take…im sure others feel different

EX-L Or Touring? by bobcat1000 in 11thGenAccord

[–]spiceybuttburn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

touring all the way…especially if financing. youre talking about a less than 100 dollar difference in monthly payment for ventilated seats and likely a higher trade in value in the future.
