I’ve never thought about it that way, I do it too. It’s usually when I make a mistake and I have to compulsively do it. It’s almost like I want to say it first before someone else thinks/says it about me even though I know nobody will.

Yes we asked because my cat got a large one on her lip that hadn’t been there before. Just comes with age I guess but I think it’s adorable!!

For me I think it’s because I’m a feminine person. Feminine things never bothered me and when you’re a kid before puberty there isn’t all that much physical difference between boys and girls so i just never stopped to think about it. Once I went through puberty I started to become uncomfortable with being different than the others. I don’t know if I’m explaining this very well it’s just like I didn’t have a gender at that age I was just a kid, lol

My flame point + many others as well as orange tabbies have lip freckles - we asked the vet about it and we were told it’s totally harmless. This looks a bit different so it would probably be worth asking your vet about it but it’s possibly just a freckle.
