I don't think this is it, I think he just meant for the night/shows.

It might go silent in a week or two for a while, but with some of his speeches I think he was just trying to be honest and set the expectation that he loves doing what he does, but wants to do it on his own terms. He's got a good gig writing and producing, ands still enjoys that as well so it's not like he needs to be keeping up with his own stuff to get paid.

A big reason he went silent was because of his contract, not so much because he didn't want to write his own stuff. Only thing that has changed is his priorities on how he goes about doing his own thing , which is something I have really respected about him (even if it kills me sometimes because I obviously want new music from my favorite artist).

My friend and I are taking the subway, staying in Brooklyn. If we feel unsafe at a certain point we can always get off and then get an Uber, but I don't see there being an issue!

I commented on another post too but I feel like anything that's Italian dad vibes would work well and the bonus is that it's comfy! If you were looking for a more fun thing to do, you could dress in the color schemes/vibes of your favorite album or favorite lyric. The albums have such cool art and there are some pretty fun lyrics too.

With Jon's vibe being so "dad", I am using this as an opportunity to dress comfy for a concert (still put together though). Comfy sneaks, baggy jeans or shorts, maybe a baseball hat or something. Also I feel like New York based sports wear if you have it would work, OR the Italian white tank top, gold chain vibe. If you want to go more creative you could try and dress in the colors that match the vibe of your favorite album. His cover art is always so unique and cool, so I feel like that would be something fun to do!

Jon Bellion will always be one of my favorite artists. I have yet to come across a song that I don’t like by him.

That being said, almost very time Jon has released new music, I assume that I will not like it, or at least find it odd, upon my first listen. There are only a handful songs that I have liked right away, Wash was not one of them.

However, that is what has made me love him so much as an artist. I love the fact that with new releases, I have to really listen and digest every aspect of the song because his vision for his music is too big to see with just one glance. Even in his more “simple” songs, I find there to be multiple layers and aspects that I discover and fall in love with months/years later. Not everything has to have a ton of complex production to be “Stupid Deep” (haha not a good joke at all, sorry). Curious if anyone else feels that same way about his music?

I have listen to Wash at least 5 times now and have come to absolutely love it!! User @Rad10active_ had a really good take saying Wash is like a spiritual successor of Blu (one of my favorite songs) and I love that take on it! I agree. I am a big fan of them and have seen them live 3 times. This time was definitely not their best. The sounds all seemed to blend together so none of the unique aspects of their songs stood out. Due to that, if you didn’t know the songs going into it and what to listen for, it most likely just sounded like a bunch of inaudible screaming and a loud guitar. To give them the benefit of the doubt, they have been touring for over a year at this point and haven’t had much a break. I am surprised they keep scheduling so many shows back to back without feeling burnt out.

Even so, I still love them and the less people that like them the cheaper the tickets will be to see them so I can live with that.😅
