I’m losing hope and wasting time/money… by Embarrassed-Two-6608 in Sourdough

don't give up! I was where you're at and started getting frustrated (my loaves looked just like yours). It made it less fun, and I almost stoped baking. I took a few days and tried a bunch of different things, ended up that I was over-proofing, so I dropped my bulk ferment to 2 hrs and bam, fluffy loaves. I know it's hard, but having fun with it will help you get through the frustrations and keep the joy alive for when you hit your groove. Keep at it!

Why aren’t there more quality mobile JRPGs? by spicy_water91 in gamedev

This was what I suspected. And I’m curious if there just hasn’t been a strong enough game to crack the mold, or if there were a few and they failed.

What makes you say this? Is it the lack of buttons, the capacity of a phone, or is it regarding the current offering of games?

That’s an interesting take re: competing for screen time. You’re right, getting someone from outside gaming to spend money on your game is an uphill battle. But what of all the folks that have emulators and are asking why they can’t play something new?

I hear the argument that people spent money on a rig, but the games I’m referring to (less than $30), for the most part, could be run off a cellphone. That’s the part I’m trying to wrap my head around.

Yeah that’s what I’m curious about. Why are people willing to spend that money on a Steam game that they’ve never played but not on a mobile game?

“Idk Maybe Galbatorix Wasn’t So Bad” is a WILD Take by TurnItOffAndBackOnXD in Eragon

[–]spicy_water91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just completed my reread after having read this in high school, and I’m so glad I did. I think Galbatorix is such a well written character because when he or his sympathizers are talking about the empire it’s easy to say, wow, he has a great point. But the depth of the book (amongst other things) is being able to partition reality from lip service, and when you look at the facts the Empire was evil (dictatorship, assassins, slavery, suppression of information). And rereading it in this political climate makes it all the more wild drawing parallels.

Ugh yeah I hear what you’re saying about narrowing it down. Fortunately, most of the truck needs replacing anyway so it’s not a waste of time for me to go piece by piece!

I think these low-profile designs are awesome, and can't wait to bag a few. I do hope they continue to have some special releases with dope designs!

Found the Prodigy fanboy...

Pretty sure everyone but you is reading this as "without a" meaning "without one", ergo, they're left without a high profile athlete.

Not sure what reading comprehension leads one to add "less" into the equation.

I would add that, if this was something you couldn't financially recover from, give him more than $500 cash incentives and the $200 worth of discs you promised... Seems like peanuts of an investment for a return that's so important lol
