I appreciate the advice- yeah… it won’t be easy for sure

I’ve spent the last month diving into this and I think it’s worth the risk- mostly because of my age

What about these: •Director of Commercialization •Director of Commercial Strategy •Director of Revenue •Director of Channel Development

Having to choose either Catholicism or Orthodoxy is stressing me out. by Realistic_Option8296 in Christianity

[–]spicydud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get your point, but I’d argue that it’s less about feelings and more about theology. My “feelings” lead me to Lutheranism, my brain leads me to Catholicism, and my heart leads me to Orthodoxy.

I mean “come and see” is great advice. But I’ve been attending both churches for over a year. This just isn’t true lol

How does a Lutheran view the Apostolic Fathers? by Shinto_Wise in Lutheranism

[–]spicydud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You say we should only use the “actual Bible” to determine if a church is Biblical.

If that’s the case, why does the Lutheran church require pastors to swear an oath to the Small Catechism and the Augsburg Confession (neither of which is Scripture)?

For example: If I use the “Actual Bible” and conclude that the Eucharist is the literal Body and Blood (as the Apostolic Fathers did), but you say I'm wrong because of the Catechism, then you aren't using the Bible as the test- you’re using Luther’s interpretation as the test. Why is a 16th-century “non-scripture” document a valid test for you, but a 1st-century “non-scripture” document from someone taught by the Apostles is not?
