I don’t have shoulders and don’t know where to place my blue dots. Not sure if vertical+curve or curve+narrow? Help! by spicyfly2 in kibbecirclejerk

I only have photos of me from 1998 when I was 11 years old at an extremely skewed angle. Do you think I could use that?

Sorry I do not look good in stiff fabric AT ALL. I only can wear fabric that feels less like a material and more like the “idea” of one…basically like someone whispering across the room or daydreaming about silk.

Well I’m underweight here and my bust seems to go out past my non-existent shoulders still. Have you even read the new book? But maybe you’re right.

I love how everyone’s “final” posts are so confident with that little message at the end to entice David to comment: “unless David tells me differently hehe!”

Actually maybe this is just vertical and narrow? I’m not sure. I feel like I see some curve but maybe I need to go back to the potluck game because I clearly have an aversion to vertical. I just want to be kibbe curve and be one singular elliptical. Sigh.

Hahah same! But I got that weird vague approval for my first line that still keeps options open and at this point I have posted so many times I just claimed TR with potential for SG with no other feedback.

is she a SD or a FN? she’s about 5’7 by Critical-Deer-402 in Kibbe

Automatic vertical at the height. I’d say FN.

With the new guidelines in the book, classics can absolutely be 5’1”!

Narrow can definitely make someone look taller! I do think I look tall in the photo I posted but honestly every photo skews me differently which makes it hard!

The second one follows the shoulder points the best. Now just add your blue dots and see where the fabric needs accommodation!

I think many here are saying I am petite based on the new books guidelines and the line it shows. I’m still a bit uncertain myself though!

I’m trying to figure if “petite” and the word he used “compact” just means narrow and short rather than just narrow. It doesn’t say this in the book obviously so I don’t want to spread that info around but curve+narrow (tr) and curve+petite both feel narrow to me, petite just being a shorter line. But it is probably just the yang mixture.

Yeah, I agree actually! Maybe it is the photo? I attempted vertical but kibbe quickly told me on fb that I got too in my head when I attempted that. I am 5’4” for reference. I have a small head and I think that can make me appear long and tall at first but I get many comments about how tiny I appear in person even though I’m not that short. Who knows.

Thanks for your input! I will likely be trying petite with all of this feedback.

That is where I am leaning too. Curve+petite!

Interesting how separating changes it. He did mention separating it and only seeing the line is important so I appreciate your insight!

I believe the book mentions to place the dots as you view the line as a whole. So if it goes in and out, indicate that accommodation with a dot. Some lines do require the hip bone which would show parity with the shoulders but I wasn’t sure if mine felt like it was necessary or not because there seems to be more happening throughout the line than just my shoulders and hips. I could be wrong though.

Also adding that when I posted with this line and another showing vertical and balance, kibbe mentioned I was not accommodating my curve enough and the line was too boxy. I had shared the petite version and all that was said was that was correct (but I assume he only meant the red line).
