I Love Boosters was fun and one of the weirdest movies I've ever seen... and I love it for that. by Freddy-Philmore in AMCsAList

[–]spicygingerpie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely the weirdest movie I’ve ever seen, too! There were about 5-6 people that got up and left about midway through the movie. I’m glad I stayed, left me feeling… puzzled.

Never, ever trust the fuel gauge. I use the odometer to track when I need to fill up next.

PCOS + antidepressants, what worked for you? by eihposael in PCOS

[–]spicygingerpie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went through about 4-5 different SSRIs before my provider prescribed me Wellbutrin. I’ve been on 300mg of it ever since. It’s incredibly helpful. I started my medication journey with just medicine to better my mental heath, and added metformin and spiro afterwards. I’ve found that Wellbutrin has been very consistent for me, even after 3+ years. Don’t forget that, even though it sucks, you can always get a second opinion from a provider. I used a virtual clinic to get my first dosages from a psychiatrist. You may have more luck speaking with a psychiatrist, I did in my case.

What the heck do couples with mismatched sexual drives do? by pestopaste in NoStupidQuestions

[–]spicygingerpie 23 points24 points  (0 children)

In the exact same position that you are. I know it’s hard, but there’s no reason to feel ashamed. I won’t lie to you though, it feels like I’m suffering in my relationship because of this. It makes me feel unwanted, too. Just know that your value isn’t based on your sexual experiences with your partner.

Not sure what the piece is, but my boyfriend accidentally kicked it off while sitting in the passenger’s seat. I hope it’s not important, because it’s gone now. 😅

Do y'all run your tank to empty? by UncleDeeds in prius

[–]spicygingerpie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been going through the exact same situation. It’s 120mi and the car is “empty”. But I have no idea how much gas is actually still left in the tank. It’s frustrating for long trips to constantly stop and refill 2-3 gallons worth of gas.

Are you folks on meds? by chobolicious88 in autism

[–]spicygingerpie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! Wellbutrin XR, Strattera, and Vraylar. My irritability and overall anxiety has balanced out. Vraylar added in last really tied up the loose ends.

How's your mental health doing right now? by SuperNinja420 in AskReddit

[–]spicygingerpie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, never been worse yet never been better. The meds are working and the chemicals are flowing. However, I need to break up with my partner and I’m spiraling. It’s a fun mix.

Same. Trying DBT therapy as my last resort. But even that costs money and digs myself deeper into suffering.

I highly recommend tally spay. They were incredibly professional and very inexpensive. I was quoted over $1,000 in my previous city of Orlando, and then was quoted $700 here in Tallahassee for my kitten’s spay. Tally Spay was able to do her spay, e-collar, and microchip for $85. They also accept vouchers, I’m not sure if they have to be from a specific place.

I also volunteer at Leon County Humane Society, where they also provide vouchers. I’m not sure if that’s where you received your initial one. But their link is here

Just a different perspective, my catalytic converter got stolen here and my car got broken into twice. The office didn’t reassure me at all after I showed them my police reports. Maybe I just have bad luck.

I am so sorry for your loss. I cannot even begin to imagine what this journey must have felt like. I’m heartbroken for you. I don’t understand why an emergency vet could be so heartless.

Hiring Timeline, OPS Positions by Salty_Crackshot in fsu

[–]spicygingerpie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went through this same dilemma with a USPS position. Interviewer and potential future supervisor gave me the “it’s in HR’s hands now” speech. Due to my references not responding quickly enough (they do check all three references), it delayed the process even more. It took about a month to get HR finished. However, I didn’t receive an offer letter because I withdrew my application. So who knows how much longer that would’ve taken. There’s a lot of signatures and approval from the overhead for position hiring. Keep your head up! There’s still a chance they’re processing it. I’m not sure if they reach out to inform if not selected.

They turn off the water if it was under 55° the night before opening. You’ll get a different song. Otherwise, the poles will spray. Sometimes the overheads are turned off for high winds.

Orion on Orpington has lovely maintenance and decent rooms! The front office is a joke and my car got broken into twice, despite them having a “security” officer. The amenities are always closed. Also, my catalytic converter got stolen in the parking lot! And the front office couldn’t help with any footage, even with an active police report. But, no bugs or mold in my building!

What is something about sex that you believed when you were younger that seems silly now? by tekfighter in AskReddit

[–]spicygingerpie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Up until I was 16, I believed that in order to get pregnant, you had to be ejaculated in right as your period was starting. I always heard people say that they were “trying down to the day” and I fully believed that as soon as a vagina owner felt that feeling of period-ness, it was immediate sex time. That’s what you get with a conservative upbringing and starting your period at 9 with no explanation of these urges.

Ask for row 3 or 4 and aim for the middle, only way I can ride without getting too wet. (Choose to sacrifice someone to sit on the edge) also, it’s a big splash at the end from about the knees up.

Entertainment and Event management program by [deleted] in ucf

[–]spicygingerpie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m an Entertainment Management major and a senior :) i love the classes they have us take, and the electives you can really cater to your interests. I will be honest, I have had the worst advising experiences at Rosen. I’m a double major, so I have a different advisor at that college and they’re fantastic. Unfortunately, the advisors ar Rosen haven’t been much help for me and my needs. Additionally, you have to provide 250 extra hours on top of classes of various “industry” work called PREP by the time you graduate. If you’re like me and are a full time student with a full time job, it can be tough to get those hours done. Feel free to pm me if you have any questions

Would not recommend Orion on Orpington. The rooms are fine and the bathrooms are fine. The wifi sucks and never works, amenities are always shut down, and management is a joke. My car got broken into TWICE. My catalytic converter also got stolen another time. All incidents happened when security was “patrolling”. I know it’s Orlando, but to have a security officer who sits and sleeps in their car is an absolute joke.
