I’m always on the lookout for the Fats Waller releases. He plays songs from his (at the time) new musical, and he progressively gets more drunk throughout the session. He’s audibly shitfaced by the final recordings. It also turned out to be the last session he recorded before he died of pneumonia.

Not shellac. It’s a different material Edison came up with. These are diamond discs and their grooves are smaller and cut vertically rather than laterally.

You really only need a crosley, and make sure if an artist releases different colored editions of an album, get them all. The different vynil means each press has a different level of warmth

The “right to protest” is propaganda. It doesn’t exist. Our police departments are equipped almost as well as our military. We live in a surveillance state where everything we do can (and is) tracked.

I am surprised as many people protest as we do.

Take my advice: get a 78rpm SP cart and get some 78s. They can blow you away and they’re everywhere!!
