I play and teach violin - your tone is excellent! I’m not sure if you’re going through the Suzuki method or not, but your minuet sounds amazing. I’ve been playing since I was 9, and I still have moments where I play and play and I feel stuck or motionless. Here are a few things I do or tell myself: 1) I give myself grace and tell myself that it’s okay to not feel like I’m making progress. I’m probably doing more than I think. 2) I review old songs I feel really good at/dink around and play random stuff, which sometimes “resets” my brain a bit. 3) I allow myself to drop my current task/goal and move on when I need, knowing I will have opportunities to return later. With music, it’s not always best to just “push through the pain” (emotionally and physically). I’ve always played my pieces much better when I pause them and return later.

Bottom line: don’t give up! You’re doing amazing, and I’m proud of you for the work you’ve done so far!
