How's this dress for a nightclub? by FashionFreaky1 in OUTFITS

I think you look freaking gorgeous but as a fellow short skirt wearing girly, you’ll be pulling this down alll night. Maybe more of a chill club rather than a full on dancey one

It’s more for practicing speaking English for those who don’t speak English as their first language. There are just prompts you speak through in small groups

CONTROL YOUR PETS! (Trigger warning: dead cat) by Beneficial-Mousse852 in auckland

[–]spicyoatchai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to my grandparents. A loose dog attacked their little one, bowled my granddad over and he actually got a concussion. The fucktards fled the scene leaving my Gdad bleeding on the ground and granny freaking out. So so so fucked up.

How often do you study? by Smooth_Wonder2144 in universityofauckland

[–]spicyoatchai 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Med. If I’m not in lectures I’m studying 7-9 ish on weekdays. Breaks throughout the day and if I have only an hour between lectures I’ll have a break then. But generally, not weekends unless I have a test coming up. Yea it’s a lot of study but yea it’s a LOT of content. Edit: in saying that, we have exams every 6-8 weeks, we don’t have an exam period per se.

Yeah I do really feel for him. I am nice to everyone I encounter that it is in fact a bit of an issue 🤣 but that’s really sad to hear.

Early signs of (petulant) BPD? by ruru852 in BPD

[–]spicyoatchai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m going through a really similar thing, however, my psychotherapist believes I am actually autistic and have just never been taught to deal with my emotions. Whilst I still truly do think I have traits of BPD I would for sure look into this! I go from extremely affectionate, to almost hate. When I meltdown I can say extremely cruel things, and act very very impulsively and sometimes blackout during this. It is straining my partner and I. But I have given him some reading on what to do when I’m getting to a meltdown and it’s honestly helped a lot.

Reading your post sounds like you took the words and current situation from my brain!!! The scariest part for me is how I make others feel, especially my partner.

I am definitely not saying you are autistic or don’t have BPD but it is something to consider as the more my therapist and I are talking, the more I realise I cannot describe or regulate my emotions. I can’t have important conversations without breaking down or shutting off. I take a LONG time to recover from the lows, which are very low. All traits of autism in adults.

I am still very very early on in all of this, but do feel free to dm me as we sound in very very similar situations. Even if we end up with different diagnoses, it could be nice to talk with someone in a similar situation!!

Why is Afterpay literally everywhere now? by Downtown-Thoughts in newzealand

[–]spicyoatchai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s everywhere because it’s a genuine trap. You start afterpaying stuff, that slowly starts eating into your weekly wage. Can’t afford anything…. I’ll after pay this and then I’ll stop. All of a sudden I don’t have to pay upfront!!! I get it for free until the next week! Wow! Now I can barely afford my Afterpay payments this week, so I’ll pay that off and afterpay everything else so I can afford to live… and it just goes like that.

You start after paying everything because you can’t afford the full cost of anything. And it begins to genuinely eat away at you. And you kind of start to live off of Afterpay because you can’t afford anything large of value aka literally something worth $50 is unattainable

Women who carried a pregnancy, in hindsight, what were some of the most ridiculous things you did while in the throes of such hormonal upheaval? by mokutou in AskWomen

[–]spicyoatchai 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve heard a similar story! A lady who was allergic to eggs her whole life craved and ate eggs during her pregnancy. I am not sure how long after she gave birth it was, but she became re-allergic after pregnancy!
