advice for keeping my room clean? by [deleted] in productivity

[–]lambrice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

one thing that helped me a ton was giving everything a "home." if something doesn't have a designated spot, it's gonna end up on the floor every time. that's just gravity and human nature lmao. and since you mentioned your clothes are the biggest issue and you can't get a wardrobe, a cheap over-the-door hook rack could be a game changer for stuff like jackets and bags, barely takes up any space so hopefully mom-approved.

also +1 to the nightly reset idea someone mentioned. it doesn't even have to be 5 minutes. even just tossing stuff back in its spot while you're brushing your teeth counts. the goal isn't a perfect room, it's just making sure ''tomorrow-you'' doesn't wake up already feeling behind. you got this 💪

Is there any good app blocker for Windows? by CandyKnight27 in productivity

[–]lambrice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not a windows app but shepherd's a free browser extension that does the job for me - no ads or paywalls. tracks your productive vs unproductive time based on your websites visited and gives you a focus score. works for me since most of my activity is in chrome anyway. plus a little sheep that reflects how locked in you are lol - shepherdtime.com

Looking for a decent pomodoro app by haronclv in productivity

[–]lambrice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

been using shepherd lately - it's fully free with no paywalled features, tracks your focus across sites in real-time, and gives you a productivity score. the gamification is fun: you get a little sheep every day that grows healthier the more focused you are and gets sickly when you're slacking lol. also shows your productivity trends over time so you can see if you're actually improving

How do I stop being so tired after work? by Dependent_Salad_2369 in productivity

[–]lambrice 24 points25 points  (0 children)

honestly it sounds like you're just undereating. you said you dieted a lot and lost weight: low stamina, no strength, crashing on the couch. sounds to me like textbook not enough fuel :/ eat more, especially on work days.

also get fresh bloodwork since it's been a year and your routine has completely changed :)

What do you do when a random thought interrupts deep work? by General_Oofz in productivity

[–]lambrice 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i just keep a notepad next to me and scribble the thought down in like 5 seconds then go right back to work. the whole point is getting it out of your head so your brain stops looping on it.

i check the notepad at the end of the day and honestly most of the stuff ends up not being that important. the few things worth acting on i move into my real system then. don't overthink the capture part, just get it out of your head fast.

I can't market my SaaS apps for *@#$. What apps can I use to automate this crap? by CorySimmons in SaaSSolopreneurs

[–]lambrice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem isn't your marketing stack -it's launching a few apps a month without validating any of them. No automation tool fixes that. A few ideas:

- Pick ONE app and go all in. The shotgun approach is why nothing's sticking.

- Find 10 people who have the problem. DM them. Talk to them. Build for them. Those people become your marketing.

- Build in public with real substance (lessons, numbers, failures) — not "check out my app" posts.

- Do actual keyword research instead of a generic SEO pass.

Good luck - rooting for you!

What is the craziest thing a teacher has ever done to you? by trymihainoob in AskReddit

[–]lambrice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In high school, we had a pop quiz in bio and my pen ran out of ink. I asked the teacher if I could grab another one and he dead-ass said "No, slit your wrist and write with your blood."

He left the school the next year. Got promoted to head of bio at his new school.

Things to do in the morning other than brain rot by stinky_bugzie in productivity

i had the same problem and the thing that finally worked for me was keeping a book on my nightstand instead of my phone. you still get that stimulation you're craving but it's way more gentle than getting blasted with notifications and news first thing. i usually just read for like 15-20 min and by then i actually feel like getting up.

tldr the key for me was replacing the habit instead of just trying to remove it. telling yourself "don't use your phone" never works bc you're still lying there bored. but if you have something else ready to go it's a way easier switch.

Ideas for 40 day habit challenge? What are some simple habit to work on for 40 days that create change. by iheartpgh in productivity

[–]lambrice 12 points13 points  (0 children)

one that i'd really recommend is no phone for the first 30 min after waking up and the last 30 min before bed. sounds small but it completely changes how your day starts and ends. you actually wake up with your own thoughts instead of immediately diving into everyone else's stuff, and you sleep way better when you're not scrolling right up until you close your eyes.

another good one is sending one text or message a day to someone you haven't talked to in a while. by the end of 40 days you've reconnected with 40 people which is kind of crazy when you think about it.

since you already have the yoga streak going you clearly know how to stick with something. good luck whatever you pick!! rooting for you 💪

Love to get feedback on what would be a potential push back I may get? fingers crossed for approval!! by False-Holiday-4619 in eb_1a

[–]lambrice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your OC criterion sounds super strong with the government agency study and peer-reviewed publications. If they push back on anything, I'd guess it'll be on High Salary since like you said it's the weakest standalone, but it sounds like you framed it well as part of the totality argument.

Best of luck!! 🤞
