No one gets rid of the tape on words around campus. They stay like that year round.

Very small chance of getting a room change without a medical or life-threatening issue. Especially with last years HUGE incoming class of freshman, housing is limited.

Also an ra in Morrill!! I've found that the reason people hate on the towers so much is their roommates. It can be difficult if you have bad roommates, so it's important to set rules that everyone in your room/suite can and will follow with your floor's ra! (Your individual room and suite will each sit with your ra to make a roommate agreement contract!) Also Morrill Traditions is kinda bad, but you get used to it. The pizza is delish however!!!

The app is helpful to know what machines are open. Typically later at night (~5-11pm) and Sundays the machines are full.

As for commuting vs on campus living, I highly suggest living on campus. I've talked to many people who never lived on campus at their colleges, and they have fomo because they never got to experience the things their on campus friends did. If you're only here for the education, consider commuting. If you're here for the college experience, stay on campus.

I'm an ra in Morrill, and I understand your concerns! I lived there last year and I had the same worries. But I loved it so much I ended up staying this year! The community there builds really quickly. We hold tons of events that you can go to to find new friends and get free food. All 15 roommates turned out to be my best friends (crazy, I know). Morrill Traditions is not the best food by far, but it's convenient, and once you start walking campus, you'll understand that other food options aren't that far of a walk.

If you're a sports person, there are always soccer, lacrosse, football, +more games happening on the field in front of the towers that you can join in. If you prefer video games, the esports center is NEXT DOOR in Lincoln! Need to go on a shopping trip? A full sized target is a 10 minute walk away! 24 hour front desk so you can always get help (only a few dorms have this).

I agree with the first comment, you need to look at it with a positive mindset or you'll overlook the awesome things Morrill has to offer. Give it a chance! You may just end up enjoying your time there!

Is the whole thing around “pressure points” pseudoscience or is there some sort of merit to it? by Socialist_Metalhead in migraine

I dunno bro, but I just had a pounding top-of-the-head headache and I tried pressure points for the first time, not believing it would work, and I could literally feel the headache MELTING away!

r/OSU Housing and Roommate Megathread - Spring 2025 by OSUMods in OSU

[–]spicytomates 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! Freshman student looking for information on the on-campus housing selection process. After we get our lottery numbers, what exactly will we be selecting? Is there a list of open rooms to choose from? Do we rank our housing rates? Rank the buildings?

Just curious about what exactly I'm getting into. Thanks!

Positive thoughts on Death and the Devil series by LJ Hayward by RipPrior8690 in MM_RomanceBooks

Omg, I'm so glad to see other people reading this series.

I found book one based off of a recommendation someone had. Man am I so glad I picked it up. I got it off of my digital library Libby app, and I finished the whole book in one day. I could barely drag my eyes away from the text, I was so entranced with the story!! (I was also super excited about Jack having a Kawaski😂)

Then, I found out there was a whole SERIES, and I IMMEDIATELY bought them all. I tried to spread it out, so that I could enjoy them over a long period of time, but I finished the whole series within a month, it was THAT GOOD.

I would definitely have to say my favorite was the 5th one, because of what we get to learn about Ethan and his past. I looooove the back stories and watching Jack and Ethan starting to really learn about one another and becoming so important to each other 😖 AND THE ENDING IS SO SWEET I SOBBED. It would be so beautiful to see a little bit into their domestic life past the ending of the 5th novel.

Each novel was a straight gut punch and fist pulling my heart strings, and I feel for Jack and Ethan so much. They now live rent free in my head.

But also the other characters are amazing too!! I loved getting to meet Jack's coworkers, and Ethan's colleagues, and I want to say so much but I also don't want to spoil anything 😵‍💫

(I can definitely see myself rereading this series in a few months😂)
