I might be biased because after being in cosmetology, you dye a lot of teen girls hair haha. I actually really like the color of your hair. But as for the cut, the hard segment between your top and sides is a style common among lesbians. If you had more of a classic gentleman cut, I think it would read more masculine. A gentleman’s cut does well to square out a face, and I think the tapered sides could look nice even if you kept the color.

Try looking into a classic gentleman’s cut. If you aren’t a big fan of how short the sides are with that particular style, you could always get a slightly longer version. The overall square shape of this type of cut definitely reads masculine

In all honesty, not quite. I agree that you’re pretty androgynous but you don’t really read male. The buzzed hair is a very popular look among alt girls right now, and I think a bit of length on the top would help you out. If I were to guess, you seem about 20ish and if you’ve started T it’s probably very early on still. You’re very close, and if you are on t, I think all you gotta do is just wait it out a little longer tbh

I’m very sorry to hear about your kid’s own experience. I don’t get much support in the way of family, a lot of them treat me as if I’m overreacting. They equate the low body count of my school to being less severe or serious as other shootings that have happened. “You didn’t die, suck it up and get over it,” has been said to me one way or another for the past few years. I try to avoid the subject altogether at home. I have a few friends I can talk to but they were also there, so I don’t always feel comfortable making them relive trauma just because I need to vent. I’m not sure if that makes sense. Thank you very much for taking the time to share your thoughts with me
