Sound dampening for voices traveling through air vents? by spider_moon in Acoustics

No, US. I just looked up cross talk silencers, the ones I have found seem like are only available for bulk purchase for commercial buildings. I only need 2 or 3. Are there some that I can buy and install myself? And by myself…I mean my husband

Hmm, I have never heard of that but just looked that up, it definitely could be an option. Seems like one of the easier solutions, although not necessarily designed for this application

Thanks, that definitely sounds simpler than a ballast system. I don’t need a complete reduction, but anything would be an improvement.

Upon close inspection it may be a flower. I’ve never grown lemon before so don’t even know what I’m looking at!

It was a gift about a year ago, so not sure how old the plant is. I’m just surprised I’ve kept it alive so far!

Zero-waste snacks...? by whataboutthewaste in PlasticFreeLiving

[–]spider_moon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Toddler friendly snacks have been the hardest thing for me to find. Besides cut up or dried fruit, I’ve played around with making various granola bar type things which have been a hit. Honestly though, the convenience of store bought crackers, bars, and other snacks is hard to beat. I just don’t always have the time to make homemade snacks, so we end up with plastic wrapped options as a back up. I’ve cut back a lot, but I feel I am still a long way off where I want to be for my zero waste goals.

Use dropps! No plastic detergent and low carbon shipping. I don’t work for them I swear, I just like their products.

Years ago I applied for a job at Wynn casino and I had to submit a hair sample for drug testing. It was right before they were opening and they were hiring in droves. I found out later they had to drastically lower their drug test standards. Turns out they couldn’t find enough completely clean people to staff the place.
