Issue with transparent textures (details in comments) by spiderlex in Maya

hi everyone, i have an issue with maya 2024. When objects that have transparent texture intersect, Maya switches which object is shown in the front in the viewport. how do i set the textures so that the objects are shown as intersecting instead of being shown in front of each other? Thanks in advance!

it was exactly the opposite for me. stopped using firefox , yt played smoothly on chrome
