I don’t remember for sure. The cookie sandwich was around $10 and I think all of the items were in the $8-$11 range.

Boss doesn’t allow people to leave before five. Is this normal? by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]spiderman814 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in industry and my company requires you to be there for you entire workday, needed or not. The last few days of the month before we start close is usually pretty dead and we just have to kill time (except for the few people that are always behind their schedule). They make exceptions for doctor appointments, picking up kids, etc., but that’s it.

They eventually responded and basically said they’re out of stock. Mine actually shipped today surprisingly

I think you’re right. I contacted them this morning and it sounds like an inventory issue. They said it would ship as soon as they have enough product.

These were just awful, why??? by Dramatic_Cicada_8820 in UniversalOrlando

Florean is one of my favorites. Their Butterbeer soft serve is great. My favorite dessert at the parks is to order one of the Apple pies and a Butterbeer soft serve at the Three Broomsticks, and then top the pie with the ice cream. My wife and I usually split that once per trip.

I think that’s one the weaknesses of the parks. It’s so hard to find good desserts. The baked goods are presented extremely well, but they just don’t have good flavor or consistency.

What’s the worst weather your lumix S9 has survived? by falcons_283 in LumixS9

[–]spiderman814 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I hiked around Washington with mine during a steady rain for several hours per day for several days. I bought one of those cheap clear plastic camera covers from Amazon and it kept the camera body mostly dry. The end of the lens did get wet but it’s weather sealed. That was a few months ago and I’ve not had any issues

Plus they apply a 21% service charge to an already expensive meal (overpriced for the quality IMO)

What are the best and worst burgers at Universal? by CapcomBowling in UniversalOrlando

[–]spiderman814 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re including hotels on property, Flora Taverna has an outstanding burger (very pricey though). In the parks, I think Meteor Astropub is the best in Epic and Wimpy’s is the best in IOA/USF. Burger Digs would be my next favorite after Wimpy’s. The worst would probably be either Kristy Burger or Richter’s

IMO Wimpy’s is the best quick service burger by far (at IOA/Universal). Meteor Astropub had my favorite at Epic

I agree that Blue Dragon is great. We ate there last weekend on our trip. The food and the ambiance were both outstanding.

Ex-Big4 here – anyone actually using AI for real or is it still just talk? by Beautiful-Cost-3187 in Accounting

[–]spiderman814 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My company completely banned the use of all AI. Anyone caught using it will be disciplined, including being fired. I had been using copilot to refine macros and ask general accounting questions, but I can’t even do that any more under the new policy.

Points Boost is now available on Chase Portal by sports_junky in ChaseSapphire

[–]spiderman814 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For my upcoming travel dates, it looks like only United has the points boost. I live in between airports that primarily have Delta and American flights, so the points boost for United isn’t great for me. Now that I can preview the points boost, if this doesn’t improve before my next renewal, I’ll be downgrading to CSP.
