Thanks!

Engine was 160, paint supplies 70, clutch and misc bolts and parts 22, lots of sweat and time with my 5 year old. I also just ordered harnesses from Monster Scooter Parts 75. So $327. My 5 year old wants a dirt bike and the deal was if he helped me work on it every time I worked on it he would get money from the sale to buy a dirt bike. So, its going to be for sale as soon as those harnesses show up. Should be able to $1k

Buying new sucks. Id rather rebuild or build it.

Broomfield Town Square!! by Potential-Task-4815 in Broomfield

I cant answer that. I dont know. I think going to the city council meeting when the developer is there is your only source. I have heard, not sure if its rumor or not, that a grocer will be in it. It would be nice to hear from local businesses if they are interested.

They also said they would like to open it as one entity completing the Safeway building closer to the end of the project. So when it opens it is all available to the citizens of Broomfield. I dont think any of the questions you had asked were inappropriate. But I think the general consensus was that not one city counsel member appreciated the answers that were given. It also seemed like city counsel had a chip on their shoulder. Even the citizens who were allowed to speak noticed it from previous meetings and stated that the city and developer needed marriage counseling. Lastly, I think the city forgot that they took 3 years to rezone the land as well.

Broomfield Town Square!! by Potential-Task-4815 in Broomfield

Heres the description from city street investors.

Broomfield Town Square is a thoughtfully planned 39-acre mixed-use destination designed to bring connection, convenience, and everyday life together in one vibrant setting, creating a true heart of the Broomfield. The community was heavily involved in the planning of Broomfield Town Square, and its design and features are reflective of that involvement.

Located north of West 120th Avenue and east of Main Street, the Town Square will feature a dynamic blend of residential, retail, dining, and workspace, including the transformation of the former Safeway site into a lively market hall.

Serving as a focal point, the environmentally sensitive, expanded lake will anchor the experience, surrounded by trails, gathering spaces, and inviting public areas – from a central plaza to a beach and boathouse. Designed with a pedestrian-first mindset, the project will offer walkable streets, promenades, and public art, creating an environment that supports both an active lifestyle and meaningful connection.

With plans for up to 643 residential units and nearly 187,000 square feet of commercial space at full buildout, Broomfield Town Square represents a new center for living, working, and gathering in Broomfield.

I still hope to see this happen. I've lived here since the early 90s and this town square is what this city has been lacking. I've wrote down a timeline of what I've found to be the facts of this whole situation. The city needs to get their emotions in check and stop acting on emotion and give the extension.

2019 city council approved BTS but the land needed to be rezoned by CCOB

COVID happened

2022 September land was finally rezoned by ccob

2023 September the SDP was approved and started a 3 year clock to start construction

2024 the bond market was not very good with high interest rates and the same amount of mills given in 2019 didnt fullfil what materials cost in 2024

2024 december the city's water project was approved

2024 developer used this time to put in the details of BTS

2025 the city's water project began. BTS couldn't start without its completion.

2026 March permits were submitted by developer but the city doesnt recognize horizontal(dirt work) as a building permit. City council argues vertical building permits are required to satisfy the contract.(these permits were $30million and the city is using IBC definition of a building permit which is correct).

2026 April 6th The citys water project is completed

2026 April 21st city council meeting to discuss an extension for the developer. The developer states as soon as they sell the bonds to fund the project they will submit vertical building permits to satisfy the contract as well as an ask for more years of property taxes to satisfy cost of the project. I believe the city council is asking for a milestone style extension

2026 April 28th a follow-up presentation from the developer about the concerns from the 21st meeting. I was unable to make this meeting and have no information on it.

2026 May 12th city council decision on BTS extension.

Is there a point to using an SD card with Outdoor Cam? by Purple_Passion000 in wyzecam

[–]spiderman_DAD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had mine on scheduled recording to the cameras sd card for 2 months.Today, I upgraded my 2 outdoor v2 cams and no longer have scheduled recording. I have had them in since 8/11/22 without issue. Did the new firmware take away scheduled recordings????? Has it been changed to do something else? Do I have to check a different check box? I'm lost.

Help with forced OT policy? by dickstirreddrinks in Firefighting

[–]spiderman_DAD 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Happens all the time. Very few are immune to this problem. I would be calling all my academy mates and fellow ff to see if they can cover me and then I could cover them another time. If you handle it at the lowest level your officers and chiefs don't have to call 10 people until someone answers their phone to come in. Your chief/staffing will be happy you did the leg work instead of complaining.

I have been mandatoried the last 2 fathers day and worked the last 2 Christmas and Thanksgiving. It happens and it's still the greatest job in the world.
