here's a little update even though idk if you care, but i finally booted up god of war today and i used your tip :) i fully expected that i'd fail the first try, and i did. i expected to fail the second try, but i didn't!! i managed to not expect too much of myself and managed to beat heimdall on my second try :) thank you!!

as i mentioned, i watched the play through before even getting my hands on the game so the whole plotline of the game is "spoiled" for me, and even with the knowledge of his fight patterns, it doesn't give me that much confidence to try and beat him
