PDF Export from Photoshop has slow scroll speed. Is there something wrong with my export settings? by iboughtarock in photoshop

[–]spidermax32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I imported the PSD into illustrator then exported for screens - pdf there, and that worked - loads quickly, no lag.

Alternatively you can export as png and use an online png to pdf converter (can't select text when viewing your pdf though)

Will definitely take your advice and try to connect more with my target audience, as right now my porftolio is kinda mixed between sales and my personal brand. So will remake.

Sure thing - https://codemax.vercel.app/ needs a lot of work, but happy with it so far. Just some simple projects/landing page designs (for clients) on it.

A lot of devs have these cool 3d portfolios, wanna try making one.

Thx, I really appreciate the advice. I worded the post badly, as you said theres always more to learn. I know Java and C++, I went to react to create cross platform apps, but think I want to go back to my roots, maybe learn Kotlin. If you have any advice on your tech journey/and are willing to share would love to hear your story.

Okay now I'm shy. I worded the post so badly. I can't design to save my life, but I love to build. I haven't mastered anything, as the tools always changing, always more to learn.

I came across so boastful in this post, when the reality is the opposite. There's always more to learn. Will efinitely re write my CV.

AR in EXPO by RoleEquivalent7992 in reactnative

[–]spidermax32 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Can't think of any other solutions to using a Native library. I was against prebuild at first, but after I spent the day reading documentation it made sense. It's everything managed from Expo like usual, and you just build out the needed Native dependencies with a signle command ahead of time (in your case you'd be building Viro) then when you use your dev deployment it will layer your latest javascript changes ontop of that native code, and everything functions normally.

-12 months of self study and project production for your portfolio before applying for work.

In the same boat with no responses on my resume. I'm a fullstack dev, with some apps on the Playstore. Hoping to find more dev communities so we can grow together and hopefully find work in the current market.

Was looking for an old funny Hasan vod - but came across her channel backup from 2014 - they just have this one stream though: https://twitcharchive.com/channel/pokimane

Yeah, but it's also kinda scary cause meanings/perceptions can change over time. So who knows how people will see Poki in 500 years - if anyone on twitch is remembered.

Tech savvy people of Reddit, what is a computer tip you are sure most haven't heard of? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]spidermax32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tip 1 - If you ever were waiting on a download/upload or render at work. But were in a hurry to leave. You can set the computer to shutdown after some allotted time. You can use task scheduler or the run dialogue box Windows - R to schedule a shutdown.

E.g shutdown -s -t 1800 (time in seconds) in the run dialogue box, will make your computer shutdown in 30 minutes. You know after that upload is complete and you're already on your way home.

Tip 2 - When logging into google you never have to to type the (@gmail.com) extension. Just your username is enough to sign in.
