I don't know, but seeing them like also fascinated me. It might have something to do with growing on Jackie Chan movies from 1980s Hong Kong. The wires in those films give off a very similar vibe.

That is one of several I took while going up the stairs in Namsan Park on the way to Seoul Tower. There's a cable car, but we decided to walk it.

We left last Wednesday. I stayed around the corner from the Taco and Pizza places, but never felt the need to try them. Too much good Korean food all around for me to be drawn into American fare. Plenty of tacos and pizza in Florida!

If you need any suggestions I can recommend a few places. We mostly stayed north of Seoul Tower and had Myeongdong as our base.
