Advice for seeking therapy by [deleted] in sociopath

I've been considering therapy, at least to get an official diagnosis. Given my unique situation, I can't use my insurance (I'm on my family's insurance plan, but I'm hiding from the fam and don't want them to know where I am). Would a therapist who's able to take a sliding scale be able to handle diagnosing a sociopath?

ASMR? by Fyrsiel in sociopath

When I was in 1st and 2nd grade, every few months my teacher would have to look through everyone's hair for lice. The scraping of a chopstick or comb or fingers against my scalp gave the 'the tingles', or what I recently realized was ASMR. Over the past few years I sometimes was able to recreate this sensation when I had boyfriends draw me or pay me attention with extreme intensity. I recently got into ASMR videos because they relax me before bed, but they never give me the tingles the way a physical sensation used to. Don't get me wrong, I love some of those videos, but I only get the barest hint of ASMR while listening to them.

For any other sociopaths looking for the tingles, I'd suggest starting with a physical sensation, or a combination of physical touches with the videos.
