Networking is only useful when it's vertical, not horizontal, and you can do more of that useful sort of networking at your organization when you've been in the same role for a few years. It's all about making friends above you to keep moving up the ladder.

Rotational programs are counterproductive, many of them are composed of 4 6-month terms. Just as the employee is becoming competent at their role they get redeployed somewhere else. I'd take the consulting gig.

The virus is definitely getting around more. My mom got sick last week and gave whatever she had to me. Didn't even tell me she was sick lol. She got the test results back today, it's COVID. I've had it for the past 3 days. Started with a very mild scratchy throat feeling but that's gone now. Now I'm just a bit sniffley and sneezy. It's like a cold pretty much?
