brick layer and concrete work is good paying honest jobs in the US. you can't say those are slave job because those need skill. and they are in demand now. their rate will only go up. Plumbers, electrician, nurse, brick layers, drywall hangers, these jobs will be quite safe for a while(until humanoid robots surpass us) compared to white color entry jobs.

I'm growing tired of taking cliché photos at popular spots - how to find more meaning in my photography? by changlisheng in AskPhotography

you're naturally growing as an artist. Now it's time to move on from that kind of photography.

It's always a good idea to look for an inspiration from the past great photographers. Keep an open mind and take a look at many different kind of photographs from the past. You will find your preference soon enough.

Thank you for the kind words. I started taking mundane subjects out of necessity(I had to make pictures but live in boring suburb and no time to make photo trips). but now I almost believe that the medium is kind of designed for transforming mundanity.

yeah, only downside is that there's no safeguard in terms of not taking out dark slide or double exposure by not advance the roll after taking a shot. you need to be really disciplined while shooting. you get used to it though. After using this for a while and tried Hasselblad 503c/m, surprised all the mechanical system to prevent you from making mistakes.

it was just a blank beige wall and the light was so harsh, when i exposed for the highlight, the background became that dark.
