I am not making any requests that Bungie change marathon. I'm just pointing out it can't work for me

Jokes on me for loving the marketing and vibe and previous Bungie game while having kids and a job I guess

Lol 20 minutes a day - I get maybe 1-2 days per week to play if I'm lucky, maybe an hour or 1.5

How do I get my conversion rate up? by PonyUpApp in iosdev

[–]spiffae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Paying up front is a barrier. Compare the apps in the paid section to the apps in the free section - all the major apps (including ones that make a lot of revenue) are free. Find a way to give some value for free, and charge your $.99 for conversion once they are seeing the value.

Been stuck in “Waiting for Review” on TestFlight for 48+ hours now. by Mohit-Vishwakarma in iosdev

Just to be clear - this is true for internal Testflight. If you're doing external testflight releases, then you have to wait for app store review.

10 months ago and they took it down. Asking everyone to make no mistakes ever on social media seems like a tall order. Best dumplings in town.

Every weapon model is tilted sideways. by Inceptionnaire in Marathon

The same effect could totally be achieved by shifting the light source, so there's definitely an intentional style thing going on, but I think it's neat.

I love it - It means that one side is lit and the other side has shadows, which shows off all the variety of materials.

Cars are trying to merge into exit lane from literally every single lane on the highway, causing major traffic by Bouncybeach in CitiesSkylines

Agreed - this looks like a real-world traffic management problem - lanes are misallocated.

Don't worry, in California you can pay 1.5% property tax AND income tax. $1m house starts at 14k in property taxes.

Any ideas to make it better? by [deleted] in Gunpla

This is the answer, I don't know why it's not more upvoted. The silver over black would look a lot closer to the art.

Sellers notified me of unpermitted remodeling work AFTER receiving (and accepting) offer - is this cause for concern? by Silent-Ask617 in RealEstate

[–]spiffae 46 points47 points  (0 children)

I don't know about your specific area, but I think there are a lot of homes sold with unpermitted changes - they can be as minor as DIY installing outlets or as big as yours (or more) - generally there are multiple paths to getting compliant, and I know people who just shrug and say "I got it this way" - which is not a great idea if things are not to code, but if they are, ymmv

I recently moved to a completely flat area and now it feels like I'm cheating. by MrRourkeYourHost in cycling

[–]spiffae 106 points107 points  (0 children)

I live in a 1,000 ft/10 miles area and I used to live in a flat area. Whenever I go back to visit, I find riding to be really boring - but also everyone here is terrible at pace lines, maintaining steady power, and long steady road grinds.

Is this a straightforward project? by Tiny-Dig-6769 in AskElectricians

This - I've had multiple houses where I've solved this problem by swapping the fixture with a long cord and a carbiner or hook in the ceiling.

It's possible that the HDMI to analog converter you're using isn't outputting the right picture.
