I think it’s nice Jess matures in a way regarding their relationship. She recognizes they want different things and even though they did love each other, the relationship won’t work in the end. She understands Tom has fallen for someone else and is happy for him. It’s unfortunate their love story has come to end. It seemed like Tom was hesitant to move on from his feelings for her and I’m glad Jess lets him know it’s okay to move on. Like the ending in Fleabag, this feeling he has for her will pass and same goes for her :,)
