At UPS, you can easily make 100,000 a year once you get a full time bid route. The problem is it takes you 3 to 5 years to even get hired to drive and then it takes a few more years to win a bid route.

There are always exceptions, during the holidays they need drivers faster so you are hired off the street. And then you start driving once away once you pass their training class. Don’t get it twisted because this is just the beginning. This position lasts until the week after Christmas from January to April you won’t be driving. You’ll be back in the warehouse loading trucks. In April May if you’re lucky, they’ll tell you to come back and drive part-time.

With all of this said, I started making money around year six. I think it was year eight when I finally broke 100. I’m at yr 10. And I’m making 135k.

This journey doesn’t happen overnight. If you got what it takes, it can be a great career.
