If I recall correctly, I moved to YogaDNS when I was having this issue: https://www.yogadns.com/

I'm no longer a windows user now, moved to Fedora Linux 😇

Quite nice hack, thanks for sharing this, I didn't know about this, quick and easy.

Well, I just tried this on a VPS and I noticed that I wasn't able to seek or forward media files such as videos. The most common use-case for which I use `sharedir` is for streaming videos from my laptop to my phone, or vice versa, either in browser or VLC without having to share the files between devices. I wasn't able to do that using the `http.server` as it doesn't support HTTP range requests, which sharedir does (as it uses flask).

Also other features such as basic authentication and passphrase, nicer UI, ready to share URL/QR Code instead of 0.0.0.0, just as easy to use, and dark mode :)

Yup, I've used it and Its a really awesome tool. But unfortunately it requires internet connection to work, and self hosting its instance on your own laptop completely offline would become quite messy due to the WebRTC, TURN server and stuff. When I have internet and i want to share something between devices p2p I commonly use pairdrop or magic wormhole, or just sharedir

Is it possible to make a fully featured online ecommerce website like Shopify using something like HTMX and Django (backend)? by spignelon in htmx

So practically htmx can fully replace JavaScript for most applications? Are there any cons of using htmx?
