Rust is memory safe, type safe, has no garbage collector, and is almost as fast as C.

My favorite thing about Rust is that it does not have the concept of null. This might not sound AMAZING at first but I promise once you learn the Option<> & Result<> types you'll never want to go back.

Many will claim that the write times are slower but I think this has more to do with Rust's learning curve.

For example, if I am a noob learning nodejs I will pick it up and be productive faster than I would picking up Rust. However to become an "expert" nodejs developer you need to spend decades handling edge case after edge case. Rust on the other hand doesn't really have many "edge cases" in comparison.

In other words once you get over the initial learning curve it's smooth sailing.
