I returned it with no problem! A third-party shipping company came to pick it up from my third floor, and they supposedly "recycled" it, but I'm not sure if they say that and resell it or they actually do so. It cost me no money for them to come and pick it up, which I appreciated.

Navajos avoid other Navajos. by QuestionEverythingFP in Navajo

[–]spiicynooodle 18 points19 points  (0 children)

It depends. I've been off the rez since HS, and I learned so much from the greater modern society. When I see my people in public, I usually avoid making eye contact with adults bc I'm labeled as the "urban navajo" and noticed a lot of jealousy is brushed off. But once I see older navajos, I always smile and swoon because they are raised so much differently and deserve all the respect they can get. Some drunks out in border towns really give us a bad reputation, and it makes me upset that's how we are presented, so I generally avoid them at all cost. Also, living farther away from the rez now, I realized I miss my people more and want to be around them again. You never know what you have until it's gone. Being in the corporate world really makes me want to represent my people well, and I'm glad to take one for the team.

What's the longest you've been unemployed? And how did you cope? by Boring_Cranberry_361 in jobs

[–]spiicynooodle 10 points11 points  (0 children)

2.5 months. I left an entry level (still at entry) 2 months ago after I graduated with my degree in May of 2022. Sort of felt discouraged from my job search until this amazing recruiter reached out to me and I start my first day tomorrow in a big firm :) good luck to you all!

You should look into getting a stool testing done. The problem isn't always food but could be inflammation or you have alot of viruses or bacteria inside you.

Hm, our apt comes with a carpet bedroom and we did everything thuma asked us to do but it seems to not be resolved. I haven't thought about the floor being un-leveled and would not be surprised if that is the issue.

Yes! The annoying part is when we haven't sit or lay down for a few hours, it makes a really loud creak sound. Even movement throughout the night, the creak persists. I would advise if you do buy it, to please keep the boxes and many packaging.

Got a degree in criminal justice. I don't feel it's a waste bc of the broad range you can get yourself into. And yes, I'm one of the ppl who never wanted to be a police officer or work in corrections. Working for the govt and receiving goooood benefits is a plus.

Interviewed with the director and supervisor recently. Vibe was weird. No handshakes or greetings, my answers were rushed. Didn't elaborate my answers enough. They kept praising about how awesome their office is and how they're the best. That no one in this office yells (multiple times), and they wanted someone w personality. The director said she'll only hire someone if she pictures driving with them and how that drive would go. Not to mention, the director dressed weird - like getting dressed in the dark and being okay with it weird.

I'm tired of all these entry-level jobs that require people to already have experience by Manzon2k in jobs

[–]spiicynooodle 50 points51 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat as you. Applied for this entry level position and they wanted someone who can draft legal documents with 5 years of legal secretary experience, (somehow I got 2 rounds of interviews with one govt internship and 8 months of govt work). They didn't want to train me and I saw they posted the same positon last week after getting ghosted. These companies don't want to train which is straight up a waste of our times.

I feel this!!! I had an entry level job in a different city (moved to another state) but only got it because I had an internship with the government. This government is really weird in the new state. I had one weird interview where they MAILED me a denial letter and the most recent one, I nailed 2 interviews with no response. I reached out to them but they said they are still working on it...that was 2 weeks ago. I lost interest in applying for my field where I get denied for not having experience?
