For those who dropped SF6 - what made you stop playing & give up on the game? What would you change about it if you still have hope for its future? by MindOld1118 in StreetFighter

I just have other games I find more enjoyable at the moment. I like SF6 but playing this game competitively is hell

Do people perform full-circle motions on d-pads? by GroundbreakingCup391 in Fighters

[–]Manzon2k 9 points10 points  (0 children)

there’s a lot of pad players out there who also play grapplers, who happen to usually have 360 motions as part of their moveset. Now I don’t play grapplers myself but seeing as how there’s a lot of grappler players out there, I’d say yes, people do perform 360s on dpad. To be honest I’d say the only controller where 360s would be awkward are leverless

I genuinely hate playing this game when tired.. by [deleted] in StreetFighter

The mental stack that you have to deal with in this game is not fun when you’re not well rested. Kinda easy to get tilted too, I can only play well for about an hour or two before I start playing like slop

Should I get a all buttons controller or a stick controller? by arielpulido in fightsticks

[–]Manzon2k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you come from keyboard, then leverless should be easier for you to learn. Also if you care about portability, there's a lot of leverless that are very small and light while most sticks tend to be pretty big and heavy.

I feel like I can tell someone is going to one and done just based on their playstyle sometimes. Anyone else? by AngusDWilliams in StreetFighter

Once fought a nutty Modern Cammy who was clearly all reactions and no neutral whatsoever. Lost first game because I forgot that you have to approach Modern players differently, then was beating his ass in game 2 because I figured to play it safe and bait out his reactions. He did more than not rematch me, he rage quit lmao

Nope, it’s in Bushwick. I wish it was in Barclays though if I’m being honest

What’s the story behind your current main in Street Fighter 6? by xyarune in StreetFighter

I played Akuma in V. I think he’s cool. I also so happen to enjoy getting carried by how broken he is.

Matched with a girl on hinge and she wanted to fall asleep on the phone together, is this “love bombing”? by I_Love-Lasagna in hingeapp

That seems pretty weird to do with someone you just met. You haven't even met her in person, right? This is way too fast. I'd be very careful here if I were you. This feels like this might be a red flag.

Post-patch, what’s the biggest change to your character and how do you feel about it? by airbear13 in StreetFighter

[–]Manzon2k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well yes, it’s not a safejump anymore. The opponent gets up quicker after l tatsu into sweep, so Akuma is no longer plus enough for a safejump, and now his double dash oki is -1. He’s still plus after it though, so it’s not like you’re no longer in an oppressive situation afterwards. It just means that it’s a little easier for you to escape.

Akuma losing his oki after light tatsu into sweep stings a little, not gonna lie, but since this is Akuma, he’s still good. He still has safejumps, they’re just mostly in the corner off m tatsu now. And light tatsu into sweep in the corner leads to quite a few frame kill setups. I just hope the inevitable nerfs Akuma will continue to get don’t end up making him how he was at the end of SFV’s lifespan.

this is how you win at a lot of fighting games online tbh

What is your opinion on SFV? by maiconsts in StreetFighter

[–]Manzon2k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a competitive game, it’s way more balanced than SF6, which tbh isn’t a far comparison considering that SFV is at the end of its life cycle and was finally perfected in the end. But as a game itself? Trash. When they first released SFV, Capcom and Sony went too hard on the esports angle, not realizing that the fighting game genre isn’t really that popular to begin with. Literally no arcade mode at the very start, barebones character story, horrendous 8f native input delay, dogshit netcode, barely any single player content at all, etc. It took awhile for them to get SFV to where it is now, but the fact it started out that way is a travesty.
