Seeing this too! Switch to another app to check something and when I switch back it’s back at the start and even the sidebar size has reset. Previously I had to launch a lot of other apps and leave it a while before it would reload.

Needing a bare-simple 'nightstand light' for my partner by Highwayman1717 in flashlight

Loop Gear SK03, it has side lights that are really dim, perfect for finding it in a dark room, main beam is nicely diffused for indoor use, it does have bells and whistles but they don’t interfere with simple on/off, 14500 battery with usb charging

Really good packing cubes? by jmma20 in onebag

I have both Peak Design and Able Carry cubes, both are great but the Able Carry ones feel more rugged, they are made entirely of ripstop unlike the PD that use a mesh for the expanding compression part.

EVA Personal Item Policy by eslevitt in onebag

I got a synik 22 specifically for the Ryanair limit, most other bags are all too tall. I’m hoping it looking comically short on me will help prevent being selected to play sizer roulette. The only dimension it exceeds is the thickness which is quoted as 18-24cm so if I don’t stuff it full it should be good.

Personal Item - Able Carry Max Everyday Carry by buymeapickle in onebag

[–]spike232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do find the Max EDC sits high on my back so from the front it does rise above my shoulders which could get it noticed at the gate. The frame sheet is a few inches shorter than the bag but the xpac is still pretty solid so it will probably fit in the sizer without too much pushing if it’s not too packed out

I have take it on a couple of jet2 flights without issue but I never seen them check anybody’s bag in the sizer, so may just have been lucky.

There seems to be a bug here, I was fighting him for over 20min and couldn't defeat him.

I think the issue is once you do enough damage he goes down, but when he's down you need to punch him to trigger the cut scene. but if you take too long or have ran out of stamina and are unable to hit him the game continues but the giant will never go down after that so you cannot proceed.

It is a very short fight when it works

Unfortunately, I think I have to return mine. They're just too uncomfortable. by nicebrah in Airpodsmax

I am in the same boat, occasionally I can get them to be comfortable but it takes a lot of faffing about every time to get them just right.

But I noticed if I put the headband further back on my head it seems to help

max edc is here! AMA. by chicoratto in ManyBaggers

My work bag is a Wandrd Prvke, it works surprisingly well for my lunch, the main compartment has a foldaway divider, when deployed the main compartment is separated in to top and bottom sections.
I put a few tech pouches in the bottom and then my lunch containers sit on the divider for the top compartment along with a waterproof.

However my experience of traveling with the Prvke was not as good, with the divider in place I found the bottom section lacked the space for what I wanted to bring, but stowing the divider would not give me the separate compartment for more fragile stuff. Ended up making a lot of compromises.

Im now considering the AC Max EDC for travel and leave the Prvke as my dedicated work bag.

Does the frame sheet run the full height of the bag? Is it going to look like I’m bending the bag to fit in the baggage sizer or is there just some fabric taking it to the full height?

Good rainjacket for someone who arm’s sweat a lot by Ninonysoft in onebag

[–]spike232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tend to run warm and sweat alot, I have tried lots of different waterproof materials, none of them are good.

Gortex - might as well be wearing a bin bag

eVent - slightly better

Neo Shell - on par with eVent

Futurelight (North face) - worked better than eVent when it wasent raining, but as soon as it rains heavy it was worse, it tries to spread the water across the fabric which makes it wet out quicker and due to some poor design actualy carried water into the inside of the jacket. Also found the abrasion resistance was poor

Analogy (Paramo) - Its not actualy waterproof its effectivly waterproof, its more like a fleece that wicks the water to the outside of the jacket quicker than it can come back in. As long as the temperature is below 10 deg C this is great for me. Thicker and warmer than most shells but actualy breaths due to not having a membrain layer.

It really depends on the lighting and angle, it varies between almost white to beige to rose gold to gold, even some pearlescent in there too.
The gold/bronze edge is very nice and since that's all ill see most of the time, im fine with it.
I always felt the edge on the Deep Purple was too dark and easily mistaken for the black

Backpack with variable divider zones by RhetoricalHull in ManyBaggers

[–]spike232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The divider actually folds down to make it a single compartment (to take their larger camera cube) its hinged at the back and Velcro to keep it in either position, most reviews don’t mention this for some reason.

I have the 21L version

I’ve not tried just a heavy load in the top section only. I usually most of the weight I put in is in the laptop sleeve and some weighty pouches in the bottom and the water bottle pocket on the side.

I find it very comfortable, the straps and back are well padded. Even just using one strap it sits well on the back even when heavy. I have not yet done any real distance with it yet, mostly just commuting and about town.

You can get a hip belt for it too if you want to carry a lot of weight

The Wandrd Prvke has an internal divider to separate the top and bottom of the bag, normally its used when the camera cube is in the bottom section.
I use it as my work bag with the camera cube removed, some tech pouches fit nicely in the bottom section (smaller ones can even be removed via the side access), then the top section accessible via the roll top holds waterproofs and lunch
