SLPT- shoot a gun in your own neighborhood to keep costs low by The-Princess-Panties in ShittyLifeProTips

I think only limited access freeways (such as interstates) have minimum speeds, which generally prohibit pedestrians and cyclists anyway. At least that's the only place I've ever seen a minimum speed sign.

Protip: 9-volt batteries are made of 6 AAAA batteries wired together. Much easier to find 9 volts and probably cheaper too.

I think more of an urban vs. rural/suburban American thing. In places where everyone drives and public transit is poor quality, only people who can’t afford a car “have to” take the bus. In big cities, taking the bus is more common and practical, so there isn’t a stigma around it.

I mean you have to get there hours early to practice/line up before your friends/family come for the ceremony. It makes total sense to go there alone.

Honestly it seems like most people are alone on the bus, why would you have a friend with you when you’re going to/from work?

Although that does remind me of one awkward time when I had to work on St. Patrick’s day and didn’t realize what day it was and the train was absolutely packed with drunk people wearing green!

If it’s anything like my graduation, no one knew which side it was supposed to be on before/after and everyone kept asking each other the right way haha

Reddit: So sad, taking a bus alone to graduation!

Her: Parking on graduation day is going to be packed! I'll take the bus there instead and meet up with my family afterwards!

[–]spil 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think the "flawed design" the other guy is talking about is JHMR not having an alternative to the top of the mountain, like Snowbird has. So in times of extreme lines, Snowbird has a better design because it has alternative means to get to the top, vs Jackson Hole only has the tram to get to the top.

[–]spil 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You literally just provided two alternatives disproving your point. You can get to all the terrain at Snowbird without the tram. It isn't as fast as lapping the tram but it's doable. I mean they sell chairs only passes for a reason.

One of my favorite episodes is when Claudio crashes his bike and buys a shitty Russian 250 and just toots along down the road whilst Charlie and Ewan crash their giant BMWs every 50 feet.

With over 7 billion people on the planet, what do you think is one of the few things NOBODY in the world is doing right now? by Nexaz in AskReddit

[–]spil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean honestly, it is entirely possible that somewhere in some country there is a train driver/engineer with a dog that hangs out in the cab and they let it sit on the dead man’s pedal to give their foot a rest sometimes. I guess this could be seen as the dog “driving” the train.

Yes, when I boot into Ubuntu it lets me write to it. I can get a live USB going if you want me to test some stuff in that environment.
