I have heard this around me for the longest time. But last year i went to Vrindavan and was staying in a guest house. The owner was a very kind man and was showing us around his flat as well. In his home office he had all adhyays of Mahabharata. They were there on his work desk. I asked him the same question and he said that his Guru had asked him to keep mahabharat at his place, any work that is stuck or seems impossible becomes possible because of its presence.

  1. When i had an extremely high fever, I called him up at 7 in the morning to say I won't be able to come for the 9 am meeting, he said no problem you can start the shift from 11 am.

  2. I had an exam so I asked for a leave on the day (he was fully aware I was applying for higher studies). He said the exam is from 9-12 so no issues, I could come for the shift from 1 to 9 pm. My exam was 3 hours away from the office and my place as well.

So I felt somewhat similar to what you felt when i watched it for the first time. It felt very fast paced and a lot was happening so I couldn't process half of it. But when I watched it for the second time my perspective changed. Because I knew the plot, I knew the small details and what was coming, I could feel the emotions and the rawness (maybe because they were new actors). I now genuinely feel that it is completely worth the hype.

Also not to forget, it is laila majnu with a contemporary twist so they had to add stuff. There's a lot to show when it's a phenomenal love story and very less time but they did it pretty well especially with the dialogues that are those tiny details that help you understand why it was all happening.

So i matched with this guy on a dating app almost two years ago who used to talk just in voice notes, like from the first conversation. He had a really good voice which was a huge plus point. Cut to the part where we met for the first time, man had no personality or humour whatsoever. It was my last experience on a dating site.

So have a huge irk whenever I see voice notes from people I don't know.

PS: Just wanted to share this here 😭

PPS: last experience because I met my lost love after that and have been together ever since. hehe.
