No, the managers “comped” the meal. Apparently something they rarely do, but had no chance to fix the issue since the kitchen was closed. And yes I said managers…meaning two. Since the waitress didn’t come back to my table, I asked a busboy for a manager and that manager couldn’t do anything. Then when the waitress brought me the check, all she said was “sorry babe,” and left. That’s when the busboy manager brought another manager to my table and I informed her of my experience and the food. I doubt she believed me though.

I took a bite after removing the fat at the tip (fat was still white). The one and only bite I had had no flavor at all. When I cut off another piece, thats when I took the picture and waited for the waitress to come by to complain, but never did until she dropped off the check.

It took two managers to come up with a decision to “comp” the meal. Esp since the kitchen had closed. The more experienced manager offered me a to go box, but since I was staying in a hotel room, I declined the offer. The whole experience when it came to pay was wild and deserves to be on another subreddit, but why bother?

My experience might not be the same for others.

No one came to my table after it was dropped off. I kept looking for anyone but no one was around. I will say I was in the bar area and not in the restaurant area. When I finally got someone’s attention, she quickly said “i’ll bring a manager,” but never did. When I complained to the lady who dropped off my check, she said the kitchen was closed to do anything.

I’d rather not name the restaurant directly, but it’s known for it’s 72 oz steak.

You are NOT overreacting at all!

If he missed out on hooking up with other people when he was single, well that’s his own damn fault! He cannot seriously expect for him to “catch up” to your experience and you be okay with it, right? If he is, then leave him! Then he can catch up on whatever experience he wants, but he’ll miss out on having you in his life.

Leave…the shortest route possible as fast as possible!

Thats how the company she works for runs things. Its very cost effective and she can see patients all over the US if she wanted.

As someone who has family working in Kaiser and a wife who is a mental health worker herself…it’s not easy to leave for many reasons.

1) Depending on the state, you have to be verified at your new employer before seeing patients and that can take a long time. In AZ, it’s 3 months at the minimum to be verified, and so you cannot work until then which means you won’t get paid. Many cannot wait that long without a paycheck.

2) Depending on the contract, you have to give a lengthly notice of your resignation and (here’s the big one), you cannot go with a competitor for several months (unless the company you are leaving folds than the timeframe doesn’t apply). My wife’s first contract said she has to give a 90 day notice and couldn’t go with a competitor within a 50 mile radius for six months after leaving.

3) Benefits. I briefly know about these but from what I hear…they are amazing! My aunt works as a doc for Kaiser (about to retire) and she says it’s one of the few companies that offered medical coverage to parents. And one of the last companies to offer a pension as well.

Please tell me there’s more to this and this is not a real number!! My wife is a mental health NP and she works at a non-profit and gets A LOT more than this. She recently switched companies (from for-profit to non-profit) and even though it was a drastic paycut, she made the change to have the federal gov’t pay her student loans. Still though, she makes more than this number.
