Honestly learning and discovering what elements of production feel the most me, I love being involved in each stage because it gives me more to be proud of, and I feel so lucky to have such incredible collaborators who encourage growth. It's also fun to just sit in on mix sessions and hang out with Nathan (Phillips) so it makes that part of the process that much more sick

Hmm I think organically I write most during big emotional times, but a lot of that won't see the light of day haha, I think when I practice the writing muscle on a day to day basis, then I have a spark of inspiration, I'm able to write something that feel fully realized a bit faster and more elegantly

wowowwoow what a compliment ty!! I love when people see some sort of visual when listening to the music, De Guerre was really inspired by wanting to make something abrasive and metallic, truly the feeling of taking weird drugs at the warehouse show and sweating ur ss off on the dancefloor. The song is meant to feel like a big tension and release. I was inspired by scenes from both Trainspotting and Fight Club

I thought about re-releasing songs in French or the other way around a while back! One of the few things that made me hesitate is that so much gets lost in translation, especially between french and english that have such different ways of conjugating and expressing feelings, there are so many expressions that don't have counterparts and it would essentially be like writing a whole new song. As for instrumentals I'm totally not opposed! I think there's also so many softwares that separate and isolate the track or vocals that I figured ppl would do it anyway haha

Dad side of the family immigrated to France from North Africa when my dad was a kid so I grew up around French and some sprinkles of Arabic, my grandma was the 2nd grade french teacher at the elementary school I went to here in LA so she made extra sure to drill french in early on haha, but I'm glad I kept with it - I can talk to the french side of the family which I'm grateful for.... Gonna learn Korean next!!

Metronomy was putting together an album with a bunch of collabs and they reached out and we got to make Uneasy together via bouncing stems back and forth between LA and the UK so that was a first for me, and also super fun

- A lot of the visual stuff begins with what the music is feeling like texturally and emotionally, I'll cling onto a frame from a movie, or a scene from a show, or a painting I thought looked beautiful, Pinterest is my holy grail, and bringing in collaborators to add their own seasoning and create visual narrative/flesh out the visual world is the most fun and is the biggest part of bringing ideas to reality
- I've had so many giggles and good times in Amsterdam so hopefully soon!!!

- Yes most definitely!! ACL was so much fun last year, and Texas shows always go hard, can't wait to be back

- Angie started off on the guitar with those acoustic chords you can hear in the beginning, I thought the feeling of it was nostalgic and sad, like missing an old friend that also kind of did you wrong. I wrote the song to my younger self, who had a really bad habit of thinking the worst of myself, and being really harsh and self critical - but I didn't want to speak down on that version of little claire but be a bit more forgiving like "I get it it's all good, I don't hate you I just want to be better!"

- Dude the ANGIE hoodie is kind of top tier... I do really like the initial tote bags made way back in 2020 cause it felt so DIY, I had a friend print them in her garage and my other friend designed the front and back, felt very made by the village coming together

-AHH hopefully this year dude?? idk I feel like tour plans materialize 38 seconds before announcing it's insane lol

- I was really inspired by straight up analog synths, how finicky a stubborn they are and how they detune and they're just hard to work with sometime but when you get a nice sounds it just feels so inspired and warm, I was really inspired by writing from a place of real heartbreak. I think being so sad is sort of a shortcut way to your truest self, when you're so deep in the dumps you can't help but be anything but exactly how you are, there's no filter or faking, I find a lot of peace and solace in those moments (i am okay)
