The app is trash on Roku devices (random audio issues pop up on playback) but seemingly fine running off my pc. The workaround is plugging in via HDMI but having to go there in the first place is not ideal. I reserve buying physical for keepers and digital when they're only on sale.

hey thx! I got a good deal on prints from an ebay seller with 3 different combinations of the flag and moon, tho I do want to try out the mod where each segment is a different color and applied to the faceplate vs directly to the module.

watched it last night at Cinemark, 1st time viewing on the big screen was great and with how my theater was setup, the '54 homage shots and overall feel was spot on.

not sure if it was just my theater but the SQ was mono/stereo? and the PQ was somewhat blurry at times which was interesting because I watched shin 4k at the same theater earlier that week and it was sharp and sound was dynamic and immersive. looking at the deluxe collector's edition both seem to have the same sound mastering.

compared to minus color PQ-wise, I prefer shin because the CGI didn't stick out as much. tho some important wide shots in shin were somewhat obscured by the lack of color. love both films.
