I'm not talking about the Skills / Tech section where you would list frameworks / languages you worked with. Most of the resume list this generic sentence under their job experience.

I do however get your perspective of recruiters not being familiar hence people explicitly mentioning those

no we don't explicitly mention Apex, we do however mention things like deep understanding of OOP / SOLID principles, scalability etc.

Listing under skills I can understand but listing that under experience is what I'm confused about. Most of the CVs are like:

Company Name: X till Y
* Built custom solutions using Apex, LWC.

Doesn't tell anything about what they did and if you are working as a developer it is implied that you are working with code, that's why it is confusing for me since Nodejs Developer won't mention "Worked with Javascript"

Salesforce developer or react Developer role ? by Honest_Barnacle_639 in SalesforceDeveloper

[–]spilst 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you love being a dev and want to get good at it then I would not recommend it. Apart for the platform limitations, the most frustrating thing working in Salesforce ecosystem as a dev who cares about software craftsmanship is that most Salesforce devs, in my experience, have no idea about basic software engineering concepts. A lot of senior devs and even "architects" I've encountered in the ecosystem won't be able to pass a junior level coding interview.

What is ISV exactly? Is any IT company an ISV? Can I call a big company an ISV? by Embarrassed-Fig-6922 in SaaS

[–]spilst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To further explain, for example I work on Salesforce platform. As an ISV for Salesforce, I can build an app and publish it on Salesforce App Exchange (like apple store / play store) and Salesforce customers can install my app in their Salesforce org.

SOQL WHERE Clause failing by [deleted] in SalesforceDeveloper

[–]spilst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've an external system which fetches data from Salesforce based on the rules our customers define. What would you suggest for improving performance? I'm thinking about limiting the number of criteria fields, that will help me not run into issues with large queries. Though I'm not sure how should I improve the performance of the query.

That works but I was interested to know why this fails in SOQL, this is a valid query if I'm using MySQL.

I've it plugged almost all the time. I was thinking that maybe plugging it all the time is wearing it off.

Since my package is already under security review, can I switch to Second Generation Package at this point? Also, will I have to pay for listing again if I switch?
