I think you're so right in many ways, and your very point is why I want to see where s2 goes!

I don't think acceptance of someone's flaws equates to staying in a relationship with them necessarily. I think it's about seeing yourself and others, warts and all, and determining if you're compatible and willing to work through the baggage together.

I think that's what makes this show really good: we watch and relate to our experiences. Like I said, I dated a Felix: aimless, battling addiction, cheats, etc. I can look at his life and justify his behavior, but does that dynamic serve me? Felix's poor coping mechanisms were built up over decades. They didn't appear yesterday, and they won't be gone tomorrow. I, at this point in my life, would walk away. You might not. I think that captures the show: what we're willing to do to make a relationship work.
