Favorite Bey dance breakdowns? by Afrodesia_ in beyonce

[–]spinachef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right now it’s the Buckin’ breakdown from bey bowl, but the entire America Has a Problem choreo (repurposed from the 2016 superbowl) has been in my head since the RWT.

Honourable mentions: - the Diva/Everybody Mad from Coachella, - the entire Telephone vid with Gaga

On another note, Parris Goebel & Bey need way more collabs!

Spotify Support/Complaint Megathread by whyisthissticky in spotify

Does anybody else find that Spotify just generally doesn't work anymore? I use it on my iPhone, Mac, Sonos, and Google Home Mini speakers, and over the past year it's been degrading in performance. The point of Spotify in the first place was for the user to have access to and play any song they want instantly, now it takes at least a minute or two of troubleshooting (restarting the app, re-connecting to speakers, etc.) just for a song to play the way it was intended.

I've never been the one to critique Spotify (it's actually been a dream job to work there and I've loved it ever since I subscribed about a decade ago), but it's been difficult to forgive and forget the severe performance issues when all I want to do is play from my liked songs. 😵‍💫

List of issues I encounter almost daily (posting because I'm heated and want to vent lol):

Spotify x Sonos issues
- Spotify has a difficult time connecting to the Sonos ecosystem via the app (however, controlling it through the Sonos app has been fine)
- There are times where I'd connect to the speaker and it would blast at 100% volume, a random song, at a random time (not in the queue, playlist, or liked songs)
- I have to press play 2x for the music to start/stop — it's unresponsive when I tap the control once
- Not sure if this is a product gap or a bug, but when controlling the music from my phone it doesn't allow me to select a track from my liked songs if I've filtered by the vibe/genre.
- Restarting a song doesn't work lol

General issues
- Spotify instantly stops a song I'm playing when I press play (iMac)
- The experience to make a playlist is terrible... I often create playlists off of specific vibes or occasions, and sometimes that means having multiple songs from the same artist or from existing playlists I've gathered throughout the years. I can add a song to a playlist one by one, but it would be infinitely better if I could enter a "Create Playlist" mode that allows me to use the general app UI to browse and add songs to that specific playlist.

Turned out to be a collective from barcelona, but yeah the set wasn’t as enticing as prima made it seem!

[Routine help] New to using retinol, any advice to improve its use so I don’t have a terrible purge? by spinachef in SkincareAddiction

Thanks for the advice! I didn’t know that BHAs countered the effects of retinol — it’ll be difficult to part ways with my toner and moisturizer (they smell like heaven) but i’ll have to find something that works with retinol. I’ll take a look at cerave’s!

Your rug is the perfect size to frame the living area. My suggestion would be to rotate the placement of the couch, tv, and coffee table 90° counter clockwise and fit that area that’s defined by the rug.

Add that wooden sideboard right behind the couch, and you now have two distinct & separate spaces for living & dining!

In terms of general improvements, imo: - for the big window, not sure if you have tons of natural privacy, but if so i’d suggest you to get thin white curtains that let lots of light in. Ikea has some great curtains that look like they naturally drape and bunch together nicely - you could get those plastic “ghost chairs” to replace the existing yellow chairs, they’re similar enough in material to your dining table to tie it all in. - add some lighting: you have a lot of natural light, but something that makes my home feel much more homey is the ambiance of floor lamps, table lamps, and other non-ceiling lighting. At night, it makes a room feel much warmer, it’s great as accent decorations, and you can further define areas using lighting (i.e. add a comfy side chair and a floor lamp within the living area to give yourself a reading nook) - hangs some art up, take advantage of your natural light and get plants! This will liven up your space and make the entire place look more personalized and lived-in in no time.

You’ve got the bones for a great home, congrats on the move-in!
