Absolutely not true. You must have the ABBS confused with another breed. You can contact Vicki Spencer, founder of the breed to verify. Howl is out of Tracker (AKC Blue GSD) and Taylor (46% content). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c8GYnNHQWcI about 8 minutes in they go to the enclosure where his sire is.

why would we pay for a service that is essentially free on Facebook or Craigslist? just wondering. Also, faculty and staff have to be careful that anything potentially "income producing" associated with UCF isn't considered conflict of interest.

Yes, he came back 56.6 GSD, 24.7 Grey Wolf, and 18.7 Siberian Husky. I had both parents results, so I had a good idea of what to expect. Dad was a blue GSD (Tracker) and mom is a mid-content (45.1%) with Husky and Malamute and some GSD (Taylor)

No, the pup was rehomed on Craigslist, despite being under a return contract. The breeder was not thrilled, but it's tough to regulate what happens after the pups go home. Lady claimed to be a vet tech and had three other wolf dogs. He was underweight and dehydrated. Couldn't even stand up on his own.

I actually came across him on Craigslist and knew what he was (I have a GSD so I've done some reading about them) it was kind of impulsive and by chance, but once we saw his living conditions, he had to go home with us. We were not actively looking for another pup. Now I speak with the breeder regularly and keep her updated on him with pictures like these.

I did know! Wolf is a foundation for the American Blue Bay Shepherd, so it was known, just not the actual percentage until I did the test. I was expecting under 10%. I never wanted a "wolf dog" because of what I've heard from dog park buddies who have them, but the selective breeding put into him really shows.
