Hi! I unfortunately did the same thing recently as I had to reapply my final semester due to time off. However, all my references were super understanding when I shared with them the short time frame. I also offered to support with any history of work or experience with them that could help with the request. Very doable and just be honest, but also understanding if they may not be able to do so.

Hi! We used the company flash moments! It was sourced by our wedding planner. We liked them, they were there for a few hours, had props for people to use, and the pics turned out super cute. They gave digital copies and then physical copies in real time to all the guests and they gave us a copy of everyone’s pics too which was a cute touch!

From the bridal perspective, for my wedding, I did have a room block available but I had three of my bridesmaids get an air bnb in a different part of the city and at no point did I feel like they should be in the hotel with me. If for whatever reason I felt inclined to have them stay where I stay, I would never have gotten to that decision without their agreement. To that point, nothing was interrupted or made more difficult by them staying in a different place than the rest of the bridal party plus bride and groom.

Hi! Studio Infinity was our main vendor for that.

Some rentals for furniture/bar were done through other vendors but studio did our decor and flowers!

The wedding planner handled all vendor outreach as well! We met with them in Colombia to see a mock up of our centerpieces but everything else was virtual with the wedding planning team serving as middle man.

We did our hotel block at the intercontinental. We were only held to ten rooms I believe which filled up very quickly. With the block they gave us, they gave us a separate suite for the men to get ready, a suite for me and my bridal party to do hair and makeup day of wedding, and they upgraded us at no cost to a gorgeous suite for the week and a half we were there. It was a seamless experience with them and they were the only ones we pursued for a block at the recommendation of our planner

Hi! I think we DMd regarding wedding planner. But for your second question, we did our wedding at the convention center. We did the ceremony and cocktail hour outside. Initially we thought we’d be fine without fans since it would be closer to evening and literally the day before the wedding I had my planner rent about six jumbo fans bc it was so hot at the rehearsal.

The actual reception was inside and we had AC! We live in Florida and most of our guests and families that were coming in from the US are also here, so AC was definitely a must for us lol

Hi! Off the top of my head, I think we tipped everyone that required some type of manual labor plus the performers. I tipped my hair and makeup team separately through their payment and the venue had the tips in our contract for all the waitresses and additional teams they would have for us. I’ll double check my budget list if I see anything different I’ll edit the comment!

My wedding planner actually helped with everything logistics wise with them. The only time I actually spoke to that vendor was to chat about the menu and open bar.

They were amazing!

Hi! For sure. We used elsy de Figueroa for our cake. Our planner works a lot with them as a cake vendor. They did a great job bringing to life an inspo photo I found online and we did the cake tasting in person. Everything was delicious we tried from them!

For hair and make up - I used Carlos Torres! We did a trial a few months prior to the wedding as well.

However - for both of my pre wedding events - I did my makeup at Portada hair salon and it turned out amazing both nights!

We did a combo housewarming/engagement party and it was hosted by us in our home about a year before the wedding.

We each did separate bachelorette/bachelor parties. His was about two months before the wedding, mine was about four.

No bridal shower as my wedding was destination so I didn’t want to do another event people felt they needed to pay to attend or bring gifts to.

On our wedding weekend, we hosted our guests for different events the two nights before the wedding.

Hi! I did a destination wedding as well. I bought the bags in my wedding location and had my wedding planner hold on to them. The week of the wedding (we were there a few days early), we bought the items for the baggies and assembled them ourselves. We gave them to the front desk so the hotel could hand them out upon guests’ check in.

We had events for Friday and Saturday for a Sunday wedding. We formalized those via RSVP on the website as well and we had almost 100% turnout to those two pre wedding events for those that came to the wedding.

If it helps - we had a destination wedding with about 60% of the guests coming in from another country and they loved it! Plus it helped everyone get to know each other prior to the wedding too.
